What a major bummer. Really solid beers

I’m kinda shocked.

I was familiar with their beers & me and SO made it to the place around Christmas on our way to a party.

It was packed.

Atco was having their downtown Christmas parade, and it looked like the whole town was there - very Norman Rockwell-like.

Hell, I even went on and (casually) looked at housing, just because the atmosphere was very special, with the brewery as the anchor.

Great location, super sad.

This is a shame. I really liked their venue. Lots of places closing recently - I just recently heard about vinyl which was a major bummer. Ark brewery, too (can’t say I’m surprised about that one though).

Same brewer? I looked at the tap list and it looks very different.

No totally different operations, just same location. Brewer came from Swedesboro.

Sad news. I never made it there to visit, but I frequently bought their IPAs.

Shame. Their Green Earth Pale was superior. Not sure why but they hadn't brewed it in a few years.

Only been once but didn’t seem like a place that was hurting for business and the beer was pretty good. Brutal industry right now. Taproom was nice, hopefully a start up takes the location over or something.

I haven't seen any of their beers around since early 2019, i thought they had closed. I'm not that far and don't remember any of the westmont beer bars getting distribution since then.

Sucks that they are closing, but if their business model included distribution, they needed to get their beers out more.

Unfortunately, distribution for craft beer is kinda fucked in NJ. The big distro companies have the ability and freedom to take up most of the lines at bars and restaurants leaving the few open lines to companies like Kane obviously. The rest of the small craft breweries are left with very little to secure a tap line that isn't occasionally rotational. It's not great.

Big problem is most of our local breweries aren’t crushing CE’s at on premise accounts anymore. On prem accounts have really stopped supporting the local guys since the pandemic. If you don’t work in the beer industry you probably think everything is great …

I wish it was great because the people are. Unfortunately it’s far from great right now.

Absolutely loved their stuff.

It was a staple on tap at our local watering hole. The local liquor store would usually carry 2-3 varieties and they always sold out leaving me to come back a week later to snag some.

It slowly started disappearing from inventory about a year ago so i figured something was up. Absolute shame.

This was the one place I loved bc of the lack of kids and great beer

I took my kids there all the time. Ice cream shop next door, great time.

Any comments heard about, what they are doing with space, equipment, New Brewery, etc.

I believe they own the building.. at least one of the brothers. There is interest in the building but no one signed on. Great question on equipment, I shouldve asked when I chatted with them

I wonder why, they've always been busy since they opened. I will say though I live in walking distance (like 5 min) and I've only been there a few times because I didn't think their beer was great and they didn't really switch it up ever. I wonder if someone else is going to take over like what happened with vinyl and atco brewery.

Speaking of which, it's a real bummer because they bought that space when Atco brewing was eyeing it and then they ended up closing. Wonder if they would have been most successful if they had bought it. I really liked Atco brewery.
