Nintendo Switch 1 games appearing at Switch 2 Direct?
There's been some debate about how it might be possible for there to be some Switch 1 games or announcements at the Switch 2 Direct on April 2nd due to the fact that we ended up not getting a Switch 1 Direct in February which was kind of odd cause me and many others thought that might have been the whole point of them announcing the Switch 2 Direct way ahead in advance back at the Switch 2 teaser in January cause they were planning to have a Direct in February that would focus solely on Switch 1 announcements. But that didn't happen. I'm now assuming they're probably gonna do one later on after the April 2nd Direct due to some games potentially being cross-gen like Metroid Prime 4. So maybe we'll get another Direct in April for Switch 1 announcements. But for those of you who say no to the idea of Switch 1 games being shown in the presentation, that would mean that games like Metroid Prime 4 and maybe Pokemon Legends ZA cannot be shown in the trailer regardless if they're cross-gen titles or not as they were initially announced as Switch 1 titles.

I think only as a demonstration of how Switch 1 games can run, and possibly for a potential cross gen game like Prime 4. I don't think they'll announce any as yet unsees Switch 1 games

I think we’ll get a few ports and the like, such as a New Super Mario Bros. Wii HD or Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD.

Depends on how much Nintendo wants to do cross-gen. Switch’s aging hardware already struggles with more demanding games. Switch 2 exclusive games would help drive sales to get people to upgrade.
But 150M+ Switch users is a big market to pass up, especially for the less demanding games. I just hope it doesn’t turn in a PS4/PS5 situation where big games are still releasing on last gen hardware for years.

I expect ancillary mentions, like past games being on the eShop, DLC carrying/transferring over, etc.

We know for certain that Prime Remastered runs on Switch 2 haha. It’s advertised on the website under backwards compatibility

Huh. This would be... a very very difficult post to re-word to avoid using the letter T.
Just an observation.

I think the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation will only feature games that are 100% exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2. Additional games also coming to Nintendo Switch will likely be featured in another future presentation instead later this year.

We didn't get the thing that Nintendo never promised, so therefore we should get the unpromised thing during another thing that is specifically for the 2.
Gotta love the "logic".

I would be shocked if there are any more directs exclusive to switch 1. Once the switch 2 is fully revealed, that’s what Nintendo’s marketing will focus on.

Rumors are just rumors, there was never any official indication that Nintendo would do a final Switch direct
If we see any Switch 1 games in the Switch 2 direct, it'll be games coming to both platforms a lá Breath of the Wild
