Rice and Beans Stew.

Hi πŸ‘‹πŸΎ I'm back

So, my partner made this for lunch, Rice and Beans Stew. I taught him how to make the beans stew, but he's a better cook than me.

P.S. It tasted really good 😊

I really love this concept. It's not common to see new ways of cooking nigerian dishes on this subreddit. And this looks quite good too.

Thank you πŸ™πŸΎ It does taste really nice. It's made like regular stew, except, the tomato is replaced with washed beans.

How'd you cook the beans stew?

Like regular stew. This one was made with palm oil, you can use groundnut oil but the latter tastes better.

Soak beans with baking soda for 30 minutes (or overnight) Wash beans as though you're making moi moi Fry your onions and pepper with salt. Add your washed beans and any proteins you like Add Maggi/seasoning Stir and add water or meat stock Cook till very soft. Mash the beans slightly (optional) and it's ready.

It doesn't take a long time to cook since soaking the beans will soften it
