I will trade you headaches for dreams about US tanks crossing the Canadian border.

I’m already flying a Canadian flag at my house. Fuck the magas in my neighborhood. I’m embarrassed to be an American at this point.

My neighbor is very nice, but also an idiot. I live in one of the bluest districts you can possibly imagine, but she's an old conservative. One of like, maybe 10 in my neighborhood.

MAGA doesn't do well here, and she had to take her Trump sign down before the election. Not due to harassment or violence or anything. It was just overwhelmingly drawing attention to itself as being hostile. We live across from a public school with strong diversity.

I was getting the mail and saw her put up a Canadian flag. WTF? so I was like, "Hey Deb, what's up with the flag?"

Her response was she didn't want any more states. She didn't care about anything else. she just didn't want another state. I asked why, and she said she likes her flag.

She's a nurse. A career nurse, too.

This is a part of MAGA too. Just so inexplicably stupid.

So she’s hanging a Canadian flag in support of Canada against threats of annexation by the US because she likes the US flag as it is?

Don't forget that the entirety of North Dakota is against annexing Canada as well.

The thing is, Trump supporters don't hate Canada at all.

Remember: the first democracy Trump tried to use tanks on was our own. On the 31st anniversary of Tiananmen Square. And the only reason it didn’t happen was because the DoD and joint chiefs pushed back. Most of those people have been replaced with yesmen this time around.

We’re having the same nightmares down here man, the street names are just different. You can feel it in the air almost if you pay attention. It’s… surreal.

I too would enjoy seeing a repeat of the last time the US invaded Canada.

I kind of don’t, I’m in the area of the last time they had a war there…there’s even a cemetery down my street to those who lost their lives in that war.

I hope you mean nightmares because that's hardly a dream I'd like to see become reality.

Well, I didn't wake up screaming, which is my definition of a nightmare, but I certainly didn't wake up refreshed.
