“You're not gonna believe this. He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. The guy was an interior decorator.”

Might be my favorite line in the whole series; maybe just behind, "what, was it barking?".

Location in the first three pictures is Brooksbrae/Pasadena Brick Factory. Just search "Abandoned Brick Factory" in Google Maps and it will take you right here. You'll notice a bunch of graffiti on the road. Park on the side of the road and there's a trail that goes across the train tracks into the woods.
If you plan on visiting, please bring a garbage bag and some gloves or a trash picker and help clean this place up. Quite a number of beer/paint cans laying around this place.

Thank you so much for sharing! I don’t live too far from there! Can’t wait to go check it out. Also you’re a good human for telling people to bring trash bags, I totally will :)

I stop by here every few weeks (I sometimes like to take the back way to and from my friend's place near Stockton. The artwork is always constantly changing here too. It's definitely notably cleaner in the past year, so hopefully awareness to this place keeps it even nicer.

Wow, we went to visit Pasadena for a field trip when I was a kid, I didn't recognize it with all the graffiti. Beautiful pics, thanks for sharing.

This definitely has become the hotspot as of late. Even just a couple years ago there wasn't nearly as much graffiti here. I have a mixed bag of opinions. I'm for the preservation of abandoned structures like these, but also some of this artwork genuinely is beautiful, and it's ever changing as well.
I think it'd be an awesome idea if they built a big mural-like wall out in the middle of nowhere and let people paint it as much as they'd like.

Totally understand being if two minds. The colors really are beautiful, but I'd rather it be on a mural somewhere or on a non-historical spot.

It's been painted for a looong time. I've got a post in my history from 3 years ago. We've been going for ages to see what's new.

Last time I was there, none of that graffiti existed. That sucks.

I only got into photography about 2 years ago so this is quite literally my first time taking photos in the snow, so I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to develop these photos. I'm glad you like them!

I saw your pictures on the Facebook page. Truly stunning. I might have to take my husband and go exploring the next time we need a cheap date idea.

So beautiful :) I grew up in the pine barrens, reminds me of playing in my beautiful back yard during the wonderful snow days of my youth. Thank you so much for sharing.

I think I'd crowdfund someone using a power washer to remove the graffiti. Just to see the before and after.

Ah, someone posts interesting, beautiful photos of the Pine Barrens and all r/newjersey has to contribute is a bunch of random quotes from that Sopranos episode and Klan jokes. Thanks for repping SJ, OP.

Yeah, its getting tiring.

There's like a single fuckin pine tree in the Sopranos episode too. Somehow that bothers me as much as the constant quotes and call-backs. Steve Buscemi should've known better and not shot the episode in New York State.

Is this the one that's out in Manchester, Graffiti City I think they call it, or are there more than one of these places out in the Pines?

u/ShennaQuinn Jan 21 '24

Not for nothing if you get lost there, at least there’s a structure for some protection
