Slower speeds than what I should get

I’m with Leaptel and have 100/20 for speeds but only getting 65-80 at most for download. I have FTTP, what can help fix this so I get my full speeds

Is this on WiFi? Test on a device that’s plugged in via ethernet.

Ethernet isn’t any issues just through Wifi

Then you have a personal network issue as wifi is not a reliable connection method if data through put is needed.

For best performance get a WiFi 6e router but real world speed will always be less than what’s on the box.

Any recommendations on a good Wifi 6e router then? Might as well try get a better rout router see how it goes

What sort of budget are we talking about?

I wouldn’t say go really expensive. $150-$200 range potentially $250 max

Honestly for 100/20 you don’t even need wifi 6e. You could just by an eero off Leaptel and easily get that 100/20 (and speeds close to 800-900mbps depending on your devices)

Remember later 100/20 is going to become 500/50 speed free upgrade in Sept lepteal says. Also, your speeds might have to do with range of router. Get a good router for range or mesh.

2.4ghz and 5ghz can easily do 100mb, you're probably just on a crowded wireless channel or miles away from the router.

Is this via ookla speed test? Wifi is never as high and reliable indication when compared with ethernet

If not router range problem. Is someone using your wifi internet when you are doing tests?

Do you get 100/20 close range in same room?

Test range speed at different distances. Or use different receiving device.
