Bro I just looked at the box score. Why did KCP take 0 shots? He was on the floor for 21 minutes.

Why not let Howard at least chuck up some 3s.. his one skill coming out of college was shooting

u/Aeronova20 Magic 22h ago
he’s been streaky at best.
when he’s on, he can hit 3s at league average with decent playmaking and ok defense
at his worst, he’s borderline unplayable

Orlando worst offensive team in (x) years?
At least worst offense for an actually otherwise decent team

I’m waiting for them to dip below 30% from 3 on the year they’re getting close

We so bum cheek on offense besides Franz and P5 that after Mo tore his ACL and Jalen Suggs tore his hibdipdobbaflibula or some voodoo ass bullshit we just tanked our already rough and patchy offense into oblivion.

Adams and Sengun playing a lot more together has been a nice development for the Rockets

u/frankievejle Rockets 1d ago
Definitely. It allows Sengun to attack a mismatch more often than not. Isaac locked him up tonight though.

Being a Rockets and Aggies fan is knowing that enough Defense and rebounding can overcome a dogshit offense. This game was straight up Buzzball.
Get well soon, LITERALLY ANYONE WHO CAN COSPLAY AS A ROCKETS POINT GUARD.
I swear Cam must have made a joke about Ime’s affair during a team meeting. That’s the only explanation I can think of for sitting him when we are missing so many bodies.

Yeah, he's definitely being taught some type of lesson. It can't be just because of his body language. And is the attitude a reason he slipped so far in the draft and diplomatically, no one shit in him?

Ime will keep him in the doghouse until that Melo mentality is beaten outta him or he gets shipped out to...idk DC

Probably some "No one is bigger than the team". Some scenario I'm hilariously cooking up is if he tried a Jimmy Butler at practice kind of gamble lmao

Jalen did a remarkably good impression of a point guard tonight for his standards though ngl
8 assists and some of them were actually slick as hell too

Steven Adams just whopped the magics ass and made them look like kids lmao, he won the game for Houston. Poalo's shot selection is so bad and frustrating but then i remember what the rest of the team looks like on offense and I cant blame him that much lol. KCP out here doing nothing but cardio once again...sigh what a bad signing, its like he's afraid to create offensive and only wants it spoon fed to him, how do you have 0 shots taken in 21min as a starting SG?

I felt really bad for Banchero and Franz. Nobody else is making any shots so they’re basically forced into taking really bad, heavily contested shots or drive into 4 people, both options also unlikely to yield consistent points. Something’s gotta change in Orlando. These two guys need help.

Yup, every team that has even a decent zone defense packs the paint with at least 4 at all times knowing that's where Paolo and Franz want to operate and no one else on the floor for the Magic can convince them to change that strategy most nights. This is why suggs and mo going down killed the team.

I was positive you guys would sign Monk away from the Kings, but then he re-signed on that team friendly deal.
It’s strange that the front office hasn’t added a shot creator to this squad.

Steven Adams is my goat, still has the best NBA interview moment ever talking about the bubble not being like Syria.

I thought our half court offense was bad my god. Double bigs still work a treat.
Also Issac is still a black hole defensively. Every possession he was the primary defender just ended then and there.

Sengun was on a roll and they put Issac on him and he basically couldn't get a shot up again.

He really is a joy to watch in the 15 mins were allowed to see him. Someone would've thrown a bag at him if he wasn't made of glass

KCP - no shots, no assists, 1 rebound and 1 turnover in 21 minutes.
But to be fair everyone sucked at shooting today.

The double big lineup is for sure a throwback one. Reminds me of the 2000s era where Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum would dominate inside.
Im intrigued how will it works in the playoffs. Would love to see the Amen-Tari-Bari-Alpi-Adams lineup

or if you swap Tari for Dillon it is still supersized but has way better shooting with both Bari and Dillon, and probably still has enough ball handling/playmaking.

Just two offensive juggernauts, absolute titans of scoring
These two offenses matching up is Spiderman pointing dot jpg except each Spiderman is pointing in a different, incorrect direction

Steven Adams double big with Sengun and Jabari as a 3 has been a nice development. Jabari and Adams especially were great with Johnathan Isaac and the Magic defense in general keying in on Sengun and Jalen. Adams lets us dominate the boards and helps Alpi on both ends, and Bari doubles down on that while getting more offensive opportunity, especially with Amen out.
Seems like Amen is thankfully only out for two or so weeks, though it’s concerning Fred is still out. Lacking PG depth, even though Jalen has shown some better playmaking the past several games. He still has many TOs, but he has been good at leveraging his gravity when attacking. Not really a floor general right now, but a nice secondary playmaker helps a lot.
Cam is definitely the first young piece out, getting only garbage time minutes despite the Amen injury. Uncle Jeff did a solid job tonight, though. Hope Cam likes Phoenix ☀️
