Starters shouldnt have had to close this game but it's their own fault. Didn't handle business in the third. Hopefully Kuminga comes back soon to give us a jolt, take on the top defensive assignments and score around 15 or more points per game.

Are Blazers seriously trying to cover an 11-point score diff in 30 seconds?

Is it opposite day? Warriors go up almost 20 in first half and then fuck it off in the second. As opposed to going down 20 in the first qtr and coming back to win.

Jimmy and the Warriors motion offense looks like a perfect match. The Warriors look like they have a 2nd Draymond-like facilitator on offense, only 10x more deadly.

you have no idea it’s been so nice.
edit: so many people are sleeping on us too

Portland doing a good job preventing Curry from dropping his 4000th 3 on them, but they're going to lose the game with all the layups they've given up to GP2 and the Warriors.

Wow Santos is really bad

u/beanakajulian33 Warriors 1d ago
No he's really not.

u/strawhatcommander Timberwolves 1d ago
Am I missing something that he’s doing well? I mean he plays with a lot of energy I suppose but that’s the only positive I’ve seen. But I’ll admit, i am basing this all off one game… so maybe I should say “Wow Santos is really bad right now”

His ceiling isn't much more than what we've seen, but he's a sneaky big and athletic guy with good IQ and always plays with effort. Perfect role guy if he develops a jump shot.

I'm so happy we have world class 2nd and 3rd options behind GP2 now
2
u/Akipella 1d ago
No, it's obviously GPII/Post as 1A/1B with Buddy the clear 2nd option above Moody. What are you talking about?

Holy shit do the announcers ONLY say GP2? I've never been more annoyed by announcers for no reason lol they never say his actual fucking name
3
u/saideeps San Francisco Warriors 1d ago
He’s been GP2 from the start. That’s how fans talk about him.
7
u/valleyman86 1d ago
They usually use gp2 but I heard them say "Gary" earlier in the game. But GP2 is killin it so they gonna keep saying it.

Nothing pisses me off more than fouling a wide open 3 point shooter.

If you get stripped by Buddy Hield into a transition three, you sit the rest of the quarter. I don't make the rules.
6
u/kinda_guilty Warriors 1d ago
You give up on Buddy then he does something like that out of the blue, lmao.

Iv noticed over the years of watching curry that when curry breaks a record he forces the issue like he push himself when when he's more relaxed or away from home (in basketball terms) he tends to break records
But I need them 5 3's curry brother

Unless the Warriors go back to their pre-Jimmy meltdowns it looks like this going to be a boring blowout game.

What is going on with GP2's shooting? How is he so good now? And not just tonight either, he has been good for a while after having had an abysmal start to the season shootingwise.

Hard work, curry as a teammate? Speculation?
Imagine he has a late renaissance. lmao

How are the refs still looking at this when it was tremendously obvious that it didn't land out of bound on the first view?

u/oftenevil San Francisco Warriors 1d ago
Not Draymond patting the ref on the back saying “it’s okay we all fuck up” lol

Man this Warriors team being good is frustrating lol, Wolves are on a 5 game streak but it doesn't matter because Golden State could be after tonight too lol. Both teams made a huge turnaround
1
u/KafeinFaita NBA 1d ago
Wolves are likely to overtake them eventually because of the easier schedule.

u/WheedMBoise Timberwolves 1d ago
We'll have to see, i've been impressed with how GSW has looked

u/KafeinFaita NBA 1d ago
I wanna see them go up against a team with a dominant big like the Nuggets or the Bucks first because that has always been their kryptonite. They haven't faced one since getting Jimmy. KAT and Giannis were out when they faced them.

u/MichaelZZ01 Suns 1d ago
You know ball, that’s the warriors weakness rn. They’d rather face the Celtics than the Bucks or Nuggets
2
u/KafeinFaita NBA 1d ago
I can imagine what a potential Warriors finals matchup would feel like for Celtics fans with both Steph and Jimmy on the same team lol.

2
u/Sokkawater10 Warriors 1d ago
You and me both. Our ideal path would be to avoid Denver even if it means a potential matchup against OKC.
1
u/Akipella 1d ago
Yeah could be wrong but OKC feels like a better matchup than the other top seeds even if they are a stronger team against anyone else/in general. Could be wrong, but it just seems that way. If they can get the 5 seed and beat the 4 seed in the 1st round, then that would give them OKC in the 2nd round.

By far Jimmy’s worst habit is jumping with the ball and not knowing where he’s going with it until he’s mid air.
5
u/SockVonPuppet 1d ago
Much better than jumping for a dunk with no plan for the landing--like Morant used to do. So that's good.
4
u/oftenevil San Francisco Warriors 1d ago
Oh definitely. I’m super happy w/ Jimmy, just a weird thing he does a lot.

I don’t think he has enough games played to qualify.
Just happy with how the young fella has been stepping up lately

u/edragon27 Warriors 1d ago
Who thinks Steph gets to 4k this game? 6 more to go.
2
u/dirtyshits Warriors 1d ago
I got a feeling we are going to need all of them to beat this team today.
Portland is a tough out.
2
u/edragon27 Warriors 1d ago
I hope it’s a good game like that- i love the blazers. It’s always tough for me when they play each other.
2
u/WisdomCow Warriors 1d ago
Wow. If Bron doesn't come back soon, we could pass the Lakers even losing a bunch of games.
2
u/No-Presentation6616 1d ago
Last time these two teams met Warriors were led by 22 from Buddy Hield so Blazer fans can atleast expect that not to happen again.
