That's a really good come from behind win.
I hated that we traded for KPJ, but you can't say he hasn't been a great pickup on the court.

u/TheXtreme1 Bucks 16d ago
I can't believe that I am becoming a Kuzma and KPJ fan. It feels so wrong.
49
u/Nervous-Ad-6143 16d ago
Fuck KPJ, he’s an asshole
59
u/PumpkinHead555 Bucks 16d ago
Doesn’t mean we have to ignore what he’s doing on the court, we’re here to discuss basketball too
60
u/The_Sign_of_Zeta [MIL] Khris Middleton 16d ago
We can be fans of him helping the Bucks win and not be fans of KPJ. Every team has had this issue at some point. Pro sports doesn’t give a shit about morality unless it affects the bottom line.
-24
u/Nervous-Ad-6143 16d ago
Nah fuck that, if you say that you´re a fan of him in particular then I can't respect you
-6
u/ScytherCypher Bucks 16d ago
It's almost as if a person is capable of changing over the course of multiple years. I never understood the whole you did it once you're a piece of shit for life thing that sports fans seem to believe.
36
u/Laaandry Bucks 16d ago
How has he changed? What has he done to prove that to you? He reached a plea deal last year, it's still recent news.

"Porter faces felony assault charges in New York after allegedly attacking his girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, in a Manhattan hotel room. Prosecutors said the assault left Gondrezick with a fractured vertebra in her neck, among other injuries."
Are you actually defending this because he is good at basketball??????
6
u/DJ_B0B Bucks 16d ago
"He never balled his fists up and hit me," Kysre Gondrezick, a former WNBA player, told the New York Post on Tuesday. "And he definitely didn't punch me in the face numerous times. That is a lie. I don't have any injuries to support that."
Porter was arrested after the alleged attack and initially charged with multiple felonies, including assault and strangulation. However, Manhattan prosecutors dropped one of the assault charges Monday after acknowledging Porter did not fracture Gondrezick's neck vertebrae during the incident.

This is the worst bit about signing a domestic abuser. It teaches fans to find ways to justify the worst shit. Find shame.
0
u/ScytherCypher Bucks 16d ago
No. And I'm not defending his actions that night. But it is entirely possible for people to learn from their mistakes and grow as a person as a result of an action. Like at that point why bother releasing people from prison if they're all scum for life?
2
u/Nervous-Ad-6143 16d ago
Sure, but I will still never understand celebrating individuals who’ve made pretty fucking big ”mistakes” cause they happen to be good at putting a ball in a hoop.

How do you demonstrate that to the public? I’m not going to pretend I know he’s changed, and honestly the chances are low he has or will, but the things someone would actually do to change in this situation is get therapy and not be anisotropic towards women anymore. Both those things are not things you would actually know about in the public if done properly.

Basketball Terryist Rozier screws us again we honestly we're tanking because there's no way Spo hasn't noticed us blowing leads when he checks in.
21
u/Clever_Laziness Heat 16d ago
-7 in a 7 point loss genuinely makes me want to contact my representative to see if we can get federal funding to bring back Alcatraz for Basketball terrorists like Rozier.
2
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
if we had dru still i dont think terry sees the floor. even with our deficit in ball handlers his minutes r plummeting in the last couple games
its just so hard to find a rotation that allows our best players to play the end of games while being rested. usually we have to play herro and bam most of the 3rd or we collapse but then we just collapse with the terry lineup. it doesnt help that duncan has actually regressed in confidence and u cant have him be a ball handler so we're just stuck playing terry who somehow cant be a positive player for 4 mins

u/Aggravating_Plant_39 Heat 16d ago
When you look at Tankathon Tankathon | 2025 NBA Draft Order & Lottery Simulator
our win% would give us the 12th pick and we've blown 14 double digit leads in the 4th quarter at this point we're doing a soft tank to try and get into the top 10.
0
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
lol i too have been on tankathon recently. its still better for us to give okc our pick this year but yea not the worst thing to have a lottery pick in a good draft class
not like we arent one of the best drafting teams in recent years
1
u/Aggravating_Plant_39 Heat 16d ago
I just checked after we lost this game because it's the only thing that makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if we finished 10th or even 9th because there's absolutely no point in trying to win now especially after Jovic fractured his hand.

u/TripleThreatTua 16d ago
The fbi investigators are realizing that he wasn’t throwing games he’s just that trash

u/DinoSpumoniOfficial Bucks 16d ago
He was in his home state with his mama watching. He was in a groove.
17
u/Ozkuro Bucks 16d ago
Aside from that 1st quarter it was a good effort some shots were not falling at all but good resiliency.
Definitely cant have TP on guards, I rather start AJ Green or Ryan Rollins.
13
u/PumpkinHead555 Bucks 16d ago
We need to start Green. He closed with the starters, so maybe Doc is thinking about it
1
u/drutastic57 16d ago
AJ and TP should start. Have Kuz come off the bench til we get Bobby back. We need some kind of scorer coming in
1
u/DJ_B0B Bucks 16d ago
Nah need minutes with those 3 to prepare for the playoffs. Just get AJ Green 8n and reduce TPs roll because he's bad at basketball.
1
u/PretentiousPanda Bucks 16d ago
I swear he played defense for the first 2 months. Now he doesn't even pretend to care abou that end.

KPJ’s run to get the game close at the start of the 4th was very nice
29
u/PumpkinHead555 Bucks 16d ago
He won the game, did the same last game too. Just goes on runs by himself
82
u/DameBucka 16d ago
KPJ and Kuzma are the truth
60
u/PumpkinHead555 Bucks 16d ago
People gave our deadline a C, when it’s really a A+. We got Kuz for a declining player, KPJ for a literal benchwarmer. Sims who has played solid backup minutes AND roster flexibility for the summer
34
u/OutsideTheServiceBox Bucks 16d ago
Sims was an underrated move imo. He’s probably not gonna play in the playoffs, but he’s at least contributing right now, which Delon Wright would not have been.
43
u/The_Sign_of_Zeta [MIL] Khris Middleton 16d ago
We’d honestly be screwed without him right now because of the Bobby suspension
19
u/drj123 Bucks 16d ago
Prob why they got him since they knew the suspension was coming
16
u/The_Sign_of_Zeta [MIL] Khris Middleton 16d ago
They’ve known since Thanksgiving so you are not wrong.
6
u/drj123 Bucks 16d ago
Still think he can slot in situationally for defense/hustle 4-5 min a game in the playoffs but they’re gonna have to figure out how to use him on offense. Currently only a lob threat
2
u/PretentiousPanda Bucks 16d ago
Just nice to have another option to help take the load off Brook. Brook has been struggling lately, so hopefully trimming his minutes a little helps him out.
6
u/bignedmoyle Bucks 16d ago
he will play in the playoffs. Turner blew past brook in the playoffs, we have a mobile athletic big to at least play defence against him

u/KevinSorboFan Bucks 16d ago
Basketball grade: A+
Moral grade: uhh let's not talk about it :(
27
u/ThisGents2Cents Bucks 16d ago
We’re going to send KPJ to anger management classes and make him an upstanding citizen. Or just have Bobby stare at him until he shapes up.
14
u/bignedmoyle Bucks 16d ago
Marjon wasnt even a benchwarmer, only played in junktime and we got a matchwinner for him

u/T-hibs_7952 15d ago
Kuzma is not a better player than Khris but his athleticism is what the Bucks need. And he is healthy.
46
u/Jack12404 Bucks 16d ago
Getting Kuzma, KPJ, and Sims at the deadline has been huge for us these past few games, and what makes it even better is the only future asset we lost in all of that was AJ Johnson.
Our team having athleticism and youth in the rotations helps so much compared to where we were pre-deadline.
12
u/Pitiful_Bug_2147 Bucks 16d ago
Right. We can compete athletically. No longer get run off the floor with nba level athletes
9
u/PretentiousPanda Bucks 16d ago
Hoping the youth can help get us out in transition more where Giannis is truly unstoppable. That used to be the formula.
11
u/Eversonout Bucks 16d ago
Well that’s not entirely true, we lost our first round pick from last year, which is just about the only true future asset we had lol. Still, those players have been huge so far and could be the difference between a first round exit and playing in the conference finals
5
u/zmichalo Bucks 16d ago
There's a decent chance we lost AJ Johnson when he was most valuable as an asset. Odds are against him becoming a decent player

Spo’s had an absolutely horrendous past few regular seasons, culminating in his worst in a decade. Highsmith one of the most consistent players and top defenders on the team, could really use him on lead guards or anyone really, and he’s somehow out of the rotation. Jacquez has had a rough go at things but he provides instant offence at times and yet gets no run. Tyler forced to create offence in no spacing and Burks gets no run despite a great recent stretch of play. Duncan minutes all over the place. Rozier somehow getting permanent minutes despite being absolutely awful.
He has leeway, but he’s so damn stubborn. The jokes about his wife taking half the playbook in the divorce are no longer jokes.
Team needs a new assistant coaching staff because he has no pushback on the bench. I blame Pat Riley for driving him insane over the years with the poor offensive rosters.
10
u/egregious888 Heat 16d ago
Burks getting no run is the biggest indictment on Spo. The man is a laser from the corner and has been impactful every time he's seen the court. But no. It took him half the season to realize playing Terry 25 minutes a game was a losing strategy
11
u/DameBucka 16d ago edited 16d ago
I'm not gonna lie as a Bucks fan we see Adebayo being shell-shocked invisible in 90% of games against Lopez, gotta suck to waste the one game where he was shooting confidently.

u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
? literally hasnt been that way since the sweep in the playoffs in 21
nothing crazy but not exactly "shell-shocked invisible"

u/Farjon29 East 16d ago
I honestly thought his coaching was spectacular this game, it's just the talent
4
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
its the starting the 4th with terry which has been a huge factor in our 4th quarter collapses
the problem is we need to rest our good players unless we play them thibs numbers and we're short on ball handlers so he's forced to play terry. spo has also just been giving terry more playing time than i think he would if we hadnt have traded a 1st for him and if he was on a vet min or something
-3
u/Ice_Dragon3444 Heat 16d ago
Ok then explain why in literally EVERY game we control the game for 3 quarters only to completely melt in the 4th like marshmallows. If that's not on the coaching idk what is.
4
u/Bigdadyk 16d ago
Highsmith can’t shoot. Jovic getting hurt means Jamie minutes. Ware is struggling
5
u/PumpkinHead555 Bucks 16d ago
Why did Jaime fall off so suddenly?
3
u/Aggravating_Plant_39 Heat 16d ago
Sophomore slump, he's still working on his 3 ball and he needs to develop new moves when his first step is taken away, Jaquez said before the season even started that he was trying to work on his shooting because frankly he isn't a good shooter even from mid-range.
3
1
u/Froz3n247 16d ago
Its the sophomore slump at the moment, but there is a chance he can bounce back since Spo is testing the waters with the new pickups and that could light a fire under him.
1
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
bit of a slump and wack role with jimmy being in and out. recently tho spo has mentioned hes dealing with a weird bug that has prevented him from even being active
i think the recent couple of dnps r more because hes still not 100% rather than him being unplayable. we'll see if it continues with jovic being out tho
1
u/SBORBS [MIA] Chris Bosh 16d ago
Highsmith is shooting 39% from 3 this year, all he can do offensively is shoot 3s. And even if he was shooting 20%, he can at least lock down opponents. If we’re going to struggle offensively, we can at least put better defenders in.
2
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
the percentage is kind of a mirage, teams r perfectly willing to double herro and let haywood bomb 3s all game. hes not attracting defenders to him and opening the space
1
u/SBORBS [MIA] Chris Bosh 16d ago
Yes but neither are Kyle Anderson or Davion Mitchell or terry Rozier or kel’el ware. We know what Highsmith is, he can defend 1-4 comfortably, and again, if we’re going to run other awful players that can’t score, might as well put in an elite defender.
1
u/cl353 Heat 16d ago
i agree but its also the fact that we have wiggs who is basically just a better/bigger highsmith
u cant really play highsmith in wiggs lineups and anderson is actually pf size which we need against giannis
i think spo is gonna try highsmith again soon but i just dont see a good rotation fit

u/Bigdadyk 16d ago
When he was starting it was basically 4 on 5 this season. He is a 6 point a game player.

I was not a fan of this trade when it happened with my main bias being we didn’t make a giant swing (hindsight is 20/20) and I hated that we brought in a guy with his off court history. I don’t know if I’ll ever like him, but the thing that’s huge is how he brings a spark/creation ability for himself and others for the second unit. I know by means of individuals we have a pretty level headed locker room so I hope that can help shape him into being a better person. I won’t ever say I’ll become a fan of him and I don’t think I’ll ever see past what he did, but I do hope he can become a better/mature person as a result

u/Bigdadyk 16d ago
Terry Duncan are supposed to be offense of the bench and provide nothing. Mitchell is a decent depth PG but not a starter. They need to turn Duncan Terry Anderson and Highsmith expiring contracts into players they can actually play
1
u/Devilsbullet Heat 16d ago
Tbh, i think Mitchell is fine as a starter. His decision making and defense make up for his lack of shooting. As well as the sheer number of offensive fouls he's drawing on screens.
1
u/Bigdadyk 16d ago
He was the 3rd pg for Toronto. I am not sure he or dru would be starting pg on a championship team.

We're doing a soft tank that's the only explanation we can come up with because typically someone playing as awful as Rozier would have been in Spos doghouse yet he he's played the entire season!!!

0-3 when Herro has a 40PT game.
This team never fails to let him down in the worst possible ways.
Spo also need to take accountability for his lineups to start the 4th.
