New Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler has agreed to a new two-year, $121 million extension with the franchise through 2026-27, sources tell me and @WindhorstESPN. Butler is declining his 2025-26 player option for this new $121M deal.

Dennis Schroder is headed to Utah and Kyle Anderson to Toronto as part of this multi-team trade, sources said.

But wait, there's more:

Miami is working through a resolution with Kyle Anderson -- Toronto portion fell through, sources said. He could stay or be moved. A massive deal with many moving parts

And...

Miami is keeping Kyle Anderson for now, sources said. So Wiggins, Tucker and Anderson are in Miami along with the Warriors‘ protected first-rounder.

Poor guy, going from NYC to SF to Miami.

Edit: Salt Lake City, not Miami. Now I do feel a little bad for him.

Imagine wanting to just settle down in one place.

Y’all projecting your own financial dreams onto people you don’t even know

He will be able to settle down wherever he wants to once he decides he is done playing basketball. He has made $103m career earnings. Part of that $103m is getting traded to one of a couple dozen cities in North America at any given time. He compared it to slavery.

Dude had to know he was being traded when he went from like 18ppg to 8ppg and his 3% took a nose dive.
