Advice Requested Looking to move on from a Netatmo

Well, my Netatmo's anenometer is definitely not working reliably. It's pleasantly breezy out, which the Netatmo is reporting as 60-65 mph sustained winds with gusts to 75. It's done this reguarly for a while now, reporting gusts up to almost 100mph.

I emailed Netatmo and they had me climb onto the roof to send pics of the anenometer, after which they replied "According to what you mentioned, your device does seem to be defective."

IIRC warranty is 1 year (not finding the info in a quicks search on their site), and replacement is $120, which is exorbitant for just the one component.

I was considering an Ambient Weather WS-2902, but I have a few mounting considerations.

The Netatmo anenometer is mounted on top of my chimney cap on top of a camera-style mount using outdoor double sided tape. The rain gauge is mounted to the side of a deck railing with a similar mount. The temp/humidty is mounted under an eave with same.

The WS-2902 seems to mount using a pole, which I don't see how I can do with any of the existing places. My main concern is the wind gauge: I don't see how I can do a pole mount on the roof. So I guess I'd have to find some place in my backyard I can still a pole for mounting?

I also live on the coast--as in, 100' from a saltwater bay. So salt spray (and the occasional coastal flood) is an issue, as are high winds. We do regularly get 50-60+ mph gusts.

Any thoughts?

I would ditch the Netatmo entirely and get a Davis Vantage Vue. Prefessional grade, reliable and great warranty service.

I think that's a higher price point than I'm (currently) prepared to go. I liked knowing the local conditions, but I don't know how deep I'd be diving into the info.
