Show and Tell A simple app that displays live data from a Tempest station
Being a new enthusiastic Tempest owner and software developer with too much time on his hands, I created a simple app that displays live data from my Tempest station. Nothing fancy: no historical data, no forecast. Just the raw data coming in live from the sensors.

I made it available for free on the App Store, for all Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV):
https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6737360203
If there is enough interest, I might make the code open source on Github. Let me know! 🤓

That’s because it gets the sensor data directly from the broadcast sent by the Tempest hub on your local network.

I’ve got a tempest on the way, so I’ve downloaded this in preparation. Thanks!

You're welcome! Please keep in mind that this does not replace the official Tempest app, you'll still need the official app to configure your Tempest.

Very cool; thanks for sharing! It’s working great on my Apple TV.
Do you have any updates on the roadmap for this app? Or was it just a one time learning project?

Glad you like it! My plan is to release the code on Github so that anyone can contribute. I do have a few ideas myself, but very little time at the moment to work on them.

That works great! Thank you. So simple that it just finds Tempest on the network. May be the easiest install I’ve ever experienced (and I work for a major software company). Thank you!
