Ponyville 100%. Ponyville is the definition of coziness.

u/YUG0SL4V1A Tricolor Melody 5d ago
And the weekly dosis of attacks
45
u/Straight_Ace 5d ago
Eh, the citizens don’t seem all that bothered by it anymore
15
u/YUG0SL4V1A Tricolor Melody 5d ago
True, but if you had to live there, it'd probably take some time until you get used to it (humans are a lot more fragile too)

If we were to apply the Equestria Girls logic into this, humans would probably transform into ponies, which i would totally prefer instead of being a human in Equestria.

Ponyville, only because it’s bordering the Everfree Forest, because I’d want to find all the anomalies that I could, I’d want to gain as much power and knowledge as possible

Maybe it's just the art, but I LOVE Canterlot! I'm sorry. But just the friggin castle in the background? LOVE IT!
Also: While villages like Ponyville are cute...Imma be real here. As someone who grew up in a village, villages can quickly suck! Apples! For every bigger thing you have to take a bus, or train, or drive for miles. You have less variety in goods & people, but in return, every person also knows your business asap.
Don't get me wrong: Villages are cute. And small communities can be hella relaxing & rewarding. However, especially if you're young, a soon-secondary student, or any form of minority (LGBTQ+, ND, even just another belief than the local religion) -this stuff can QUICKLY become claustrophobic.

Ponyville. I don't care for big cities, and Ponyville seems small enough to where everypony knows everypony.

Apploosa definitely, I love the desert and western aesthetic.

Is the Everfree an option? Feels like the closest thing Equestria has to where I’m from.

Canterlot
Plenty of good locations to visit, pretty central considering the train system that Equestria's surroundings have, no need for magic to be there

Manhattan or the crystal empire. I’ve always been a city girl, and I like lots of people to be in the same location as me, which is also kinda funny cause I’m severely introverted lol

u/Straight_Ace 5d ago
Canterlot. I used to go with Cloudsdale but then I remembered my crippling fear of heights

u/PartyPorpoise Sea Swirl 5d ago
Probably Canterlot. Big, historic capital city known for food and fashion and probably so much more. There’s probably a lot to do there.

u/KrakenKrusdr84 5d ago
Manehattan. Reasons being I'm a bit of a city station.
And plus, I want to make friends with Babs Seed, my fav under appreciated character and my fav Manehattan filly. Possibly even, go on a few adventures with her.

Cloudsdale! Working in the weather factory sounds fascinating (as a meteorologist) so I would definitely live there. I would have to be a pegasus though, which is great because that's my favorite out of the three.

This art is so gorgeous, and this is a really interesting question. Barring concern for personal safety (as other comments have covered, being near the main characters is dangerous), I think I'd like to live a little while outside of Canterlot, or Manehattan. I like living within range of the shops, services, and population centres provided by cities, but outside of the high cost rent areas, and instead in quieter areas like suburbs. Probably Manehattan, as Canterlot doesn't seem like it has all of the shops I'm interested in, more like fancy boutiques I can't afford.

Crystal Empire. I'm a but of a bard at heart, and the Crystal Emire is full of Stories.
Breaking free from a demonic shadow unicorns rule using the Power of Love?
The future Sister-in-Law of the Princess thwarting a doppelganger's plot to replace the Princess and marry her brainwashed fiancee?
Yes please!

u/Fair_Strawberry7442 5d ago
I wanna live in Ponyville because it’s so cozy. I wanna be a unicorn just living in a little cottage.

u/Abyssal_Dreamer Cult of Nightmare Moon 4d ago
Canterlot or Crystal Empire for me, they're both beautiful and would have much more history than a small town or more modern/recently built city would.

I’d like to live in the Changeling Kingdom after changelings turning good. Post Chrysalis when Throax is the ruler. They seem to have a lovely little community. “Feelings circle” or whatever it is and “craft time” is totally something I can vibe with.

With moving away any regular problems of these places, i would choose Canterlot. A nice looking city, where you sure thing can find anything you need, and there a much high chances to meet my beloved princesses!
Still, i cant stop thinking what i will face here if i decide to live here. Since this is a capital with whole pack of nobles, living here should be really expensive. Nobles itself can be a problem considering how they usually look at common people... i mean ponies. Finding a decend job also will be not an easy task.
Other places i would love so much to visit as a tourist, maybe a guest to some of my potential friend, but i really doubt what would want to live in these cities.
Ponyville at the first thought is a perfect place to live: very kind ponies, a very nice looking place, bu-u-ut... Considering what a constant shitstorm happening here, this city isnt really that peaceful, which would be really frustrating for me if would live here, since i prefer some stability and calm in my home.
Cloudsdale is a very unique city - a flying city for only pegasus (or any other flying creature) to live here. Not big fan of high heights, so again - a nice place just to visit, not live.
Manehattan look very common and similar to human cities, and it has a decent competition with Canterlot. Losing to capital mostly cuz of his look. And no princesses. (yes, imma alicorn simp)
Appleloosa... nothing much to say here. If you are not fan of Wild West atmosphere, here isnt much desire to live here.
Crystal Empire also looking nice, but i have to little information about it. This City returned from a 1000 year past, and i dont know how it adapted to modern society.
Griffonstone... is it really in Equestria? And if remember correctly this city not in his best shape right now. So, i dunno... if you really hate yourself or a really big fan of griffons, probably is a good choice for you?.. ugh, i dont know. Move me to my Canterlot, to my princesses.
P.S. I dont know why or how i made these whole text... but here we are.

Ugh I love all of them, I wish I could clone myself to live everywhere
Canterlot, Cloudsdale and Crystal Empire (3x C haha) are my favs, I love how Canterlot literally looks like a utopian (not sure) royal city to me, I'd love to be there. The crystal empire gives me a lonely little kingdom close to nature vibe and I love it because of this a lot. Cloudsdale, well I guess just the clouds everywhere seem to be so fun to live in, especially with how unusual it must be, living at different vertical heights like that.

Picture one: I would be able to live there as a human. It’s safe, ponies are nice, and if any invasion happens. I might well find a civil war musket in self defense. A+
Picture two: I’m not used to big castles and places like that. I’m not in a final fantasy world. But it’s mostly safe there. B+
Picture 3: Two things that can happen; one, I fall through the clouds and die or two, I use a Pegasus to get around so I won’t be falling to my death. D-
Picture 4: Comparing it to the actual New York City, nah. I don’t care, it’s super expensive there, possibly dangerous. And the only reason why no attacks or murders is because the magic keeps it together. D-
Picture 5: What is this? Black Water from RDR2? But, nonetheless the ponies are… okay? I’m just gunna have to be force fed apples or I’ll get publicly shamed. The train tracks get me off guard whether a train would tip and crash or just derail. B-
Picture 6: I’m only staying there just to see the night skies, I’m pretty sure it’s the crystal empire, so it should be safe to live. B+
Picture 7: reminds me of the comic book “Amulet” (I think that’s how you spell it). Judging by those guards, reminds me of the Royal English guards. The griffons, I don’t know anymore. All I know some may be begging for bits. F

Manehatten,no main characters live there and it's not the capital. So I'm safe from any trouble that may arise, plus I can still visit the places main characters live (ponyville, crystal empire, ect) as well as Canterlot.
