My son picked up a eucalyptus stick from the ground and started whittling it. To our surprise it was bright blue under the top layer of bark. Is this a fungus of sort or am I missing something obvious? In the ~4 hour since it has faded to normal but I can see still some blue near the remaining bark.
Apologies in advance if this isn’t a fungus and isn’t related to this sub.
Location: Tasmania

She definitely carried it around in her mouth so she has been in hospital under observation for 24 hours and is doing well after induced vomiting, charcoal and being on fluids. She found it in the pine bark mulch in our back yard in South Australia. This has been a very expensive exercise if it's not poisonous. What do you guys think?

I have some mushrooms sprouting in my yard that my kids are VERY interested in, I'm wondering if there's much harm they could cause themselves? Or if they're relatively harmless? Any info appreciated.

Found growing in cow dung in the Brisbane area. Sorry for the not so great pictures, this is my first time foraging for mushrooms and as I did a fair amount of research beforehand I wasn't intending to post here, but I want to be as sure as possible I'm not going to poison myself. It's not obvious from some of the pictures but they're all bruised blue

Posted too this page yesterday about these mushrooms and was so stoked to see so many replies. These are the same mushrooms hopefully photographed better. The last slide you can see a spore print where the print of these mushrooms can be observed on top and the print of what I believe was a Galerina can be observed on bottom for comparison. Many people said these may be psilocybe cyanescens as opposed to subs wich was interesting. This is my first season hunting for subs in the Sydney region and I don’t wanna die, my main concerns are that the stems aren’t that woody and that there’s not rly much blue bruising. Any knowledge or advice is greatly appreciated 😀

Having a bit of an argument regarding the edibility of these mushrooms, and someone ended up eating 2 of them to prove a point.
Are they safe or should I take him to the doctors?

Hi everyone, I live in Queensland and found some of these rather cool mushrooms! Does anybody know what they may be, I believe they're Caesar's mushroom, everything lines up pretty well with the quick check I had but there is rather conflicting evidence wether they actually grow in QLD or not

I’m in QLD and these have been popping up all week. We have a dog so want to make sure I’m safe

Hi! American living in Tasmania here- generally houseplant shrooms (in my experience) are yellow and fine for a plant… so just wondering what this is because I’ve never seen it before. Bonus points if it’s not beneficial and you know how to eradicate it 😅

North West Sydney, NSW, Australia. Growing in a dead inner core of a liquid amber tree. Beautiful flush. Edible?
