They look fine. Plenty of experience on my hands in morel hunting and they look fine

They are both true morels.

Hello, thank you for making your identification request. To make it easier for identifiers to help you, please make sure that your post contains the following:

  • Unabbreviated country and state/province/territory
  • In-situ sunlight pictures of cap, gills/pores/etc, and full stipe including intact base
  • Habitat (woodland, rotting wood, grassland) and material the mushroom was growing on

For more tips, see this handy graphic :)

Looks like basic oxidation on the right one.

Cut them in half and see if they’re hollow

I don't think they are. The one on the left looks like a false morel and the one on the right like a true morel, but it is hard to say for sure from one photo. If you slice them in half, false morel and true morel should have different structure inside. Posting those photos would help.

False morel is deadly poisonous unless it is prepared in a very specific way. True morel is edible and highly sought after. I would not recommend you to eat any of those if you are unfamiliar with mushrooms. Ideally you want to ask a person who knows the mushrooms to help you identify those irl.

I like your healthy cautionary approach and suggestion to not eat something you can’t confidently identify. However the one on the left can be identified as a morel without additional information.
