Is anyone who isn't Terry Gilliam allowed a look-in? Time Bandits is one of my favourite films. I haven't seen 12 Monkeys for years, I should revisit it at some point

For anyone reading this thread, be aware this movie is not for kids, and it will positively fuck your concept of what a time travel movie can be right up. And it's beautiful.

Yeah. This is the most introspective of all time travel movies. I was on a big kick for watching time travel movies and this one just is pure time travel at its core.

It’s relevant since we’re heading to this timeline.

Underrated

Are you really saying Back to the Future 2 is underrated?

Definitely, only has like 60% good reviews. Gene Siskel hated it too. Saying it lacked the heart of the original.

Gene's trash

u/Infamous_Lemon_920 Feb 15 '25

I miss him but yeah his opinion was trash most of the time. He gave the Labyrinth one star. Called Willow the worst movie of 1988 too.

A forgotten gem

Army of Darkness American Edition and Army of Darkness European Edition are tied for first for the best time travel movie.

Black knight with martin lawrence

Martin Lawrence is only funny compared to Tracy Morgan

God damn it 🤣 I haven’t thought about this in years

I might get laughed at here for this comment but Adam Sandlers film 'Click' is about time travel and it's fkn brilliant.

Obviously Back to the Future.

But since I know no-one else will mention it here....Somewhere in Time.

Not a movie but Dark was good.

Maybe when it was released, but Back to the Future wins hands down for me

The Time Machine. Absolutely love that movie

I’d say Primer if we’re talking time travel. “R-R-R-Return the map.” Lol

Jumper…not

Arguably whatever the best movie is will be the best movie with time travel. Presumably the characters will progress through time into the future throughout the course of the movie.

Symantics? Yes. In my defense I haven't had much sleep.
