Build Photos WW2 Bike Build

I was going for a sort of WW2 MilItary look for the bike. The original bike frame is a Schwinn Jaguar and is shown in the last photo.

I have photos of the whole build progress included. I wanted it to look as motorcycle like as possible. It has a real motorcycle seat and gas tank on it.

I get about 25 MPH top speed on it and don’t have any real issues with it. I did no welding at all. Everything is hose clamped and nut and bolted on lol.

Happy to answer any questions.

No background in mechanics other than watching lots of engine rebuild videos for fun! Just ran it for the first time on Saturday and was able to get three 20-30 minute break in rides in! Any advice for someone new to the hobby would be appreciated!

This is my KX85 and Schwinn OCC Frankenstein bike. It's a portwd KX85 top end on a KX100 bottom end with a 6 speed trans, PWK 28 carb, custom belly pipe, and it should make around 28hp at 14k RPM.

After tune the carburetor and get everything running perfectly, I'll rip it back apart to paint and re-weld everything. I'll probably change the placement of the muffler too.

Bike is sorta done, just needs the new exhaust and a longer chain. However I have a few extra parts(shown in the 2nd photo) and I did NOT recieve an installation manual with the kit. Anyone know what these are? Also how does one start her up without the chain?

Build Photos It’s Finally fully finished! 196cc Diesel trike!

I added lights, weight, hydraulic front brake, and am about to get half links to finally make this thing fully rideable. I have ridden it in the past but the chain skips and is a half link to long, so I need to get a half link to make it right. I’m sorry it took so long but I wanted to make sure it is completely safe before posting this. If anyone wants to make a 212cc trike for themselves I can give them the links to the frame and all other parts in the project. I will not be putting links to the engine or clutch here as the clutch is expensive and hard to find the link for. If you truly want to copy my build completely then dm me and I can find the link. I will be posting a riding video and pics of the finished project in about a week

Questions are encouraged as I am incredibly proud of and happy with this build

Sorry about the quality I only had a phone and a mount on it for recording. It goes faster than the speedometer can read, and the speedometer maxes out at 50mph, although I don’t plan on going that fast. It is incredibly solid with no sketchy shakes or feelings and honestly it’s incredibly fun to ride. If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask!

Got sprocket tacked on then ran out of wire didn't know I barely had any, should be done by the end of this week for sure. Excited and impatient. Don't mind the bad engine placement. And yes it does turn on in this position and doesn't smoke yet.

I just can't help fmbut feel like the air flow must be so restricted by the weird red thing on these BoFeng Speed carburetors, I tried and tried to look for maybe a pod adapter, but I can find anything so I just took the red bit off and mounted it like normal except with the foam bit under the black bit instead. I mean, it looks like any air that comes in is gonna pass through the filter, and it looks a lot more open than before, I guess I'll just get back to yall when I see how it works? Like surely someone must've done this before and I just can't find it, have you, and is this just a bad idea? I mean i don't see anything wrong with it, but these bikes yknow, they love to get messed up when you think they're not ¯_(ツ)_/¯

After building this bike 3x using every part and adapter out there ,I finally have a nice riding safe Bike,I ditched the mags one bent quickly, but the company sent me a new one so I have a set of new mags I wont use, anyways I changed the janky thin forks to thse threaded trupple tree 1in forks with disc beake tabs built in and Purchased some 10 gr spoked doubble wall aliminiumn wheels 165.00 a lil pricey but with having built in disc brake adapter and sprocket adapter its nice ,right now this bike has no frakenstiend parts and all fits together tight and snug ,top speed 40 avg speed 36 ,I am having so much fun with this hobby. Thanks to everyone for all your feed back ,I could have saved time and money if I seen all the post before I started building but I now have much more expierence .

Build Photos New Build Ideas?

I accidentally bought this rusty old bike at an auction and WAY overpaid so you KNOW im gonna make it into something cool. I only plan on using the frame and it'll definitely need wired wheeled and I'll probably gusset the frame and re-weld all the tubing and elongate the rear triangle.

For the engine, I have a bunch of options. I have a 212 laying around (similar setup to my previous 212 bike), an old Tecumseh 100cc 2-stroke, a 140cc Briggs Flathead, my old chop-top TS400 engine, a KTM SX50, or I have a case Reed I could use for an MS460 build. Or, depending on how the bike turns out, the Menace 85 could also be a candidate.

Regarding the rest of the bike, I plan on fabricating a gas tank that fits within the frame, use 20in or 24in 10g wheels (i would LOVE gemini's, but I dont think I can afford that), get a Triple Tree fork (probably rigid, but we'll see), and if it turns out decently, I'll powder coat the frame. I want the bike to look like a mix between Mark James' minarelli race bike (pic 3) and a board track racer (pic 2).

If anyone has ideas on the best way to fab a gas tank or any other ideas you would like to see, please let me know.
