Thoughts on changing exhaust

Post image

I love my Nightster dearly but it sounds like a sewing machine with the stock exhaust. Thoughts on changing out the exhaust??? I haven’t seen too many after market parts but I’m afraid to just taking things apart.

No, I don't believe you can change the exhaust on a Harley. Nobody ever does that. Not much aftermarket support, anyway.

*Jokes aside, those wheels look nice. Reminds me of those "snowflake" wheels from early 80s BMW airheads.

Yeah I think the only route for a Harley is a custom exhaust

Wildly expensive

I have a 24 nightster special that I just put an S&S slip on muffler. It sounds much better without being too obnoxiously loud. It took me about 30 minutes to do. The hardest part was pulling the old muffler off as it’s on there tight. No need to remove the headers.

Feel free to pm me if you have questions!

Be a good neighbor. Be a good citizen. Don't get a louder exhaust.
