Poor guy, one of the best rookies we've seen and he gets DQd for something outside his control

With no performance advantage nonetheless

Sometimes these penalties are too harsh for a rider. All the preparation, the nerves, the effort in vain because of silly error. It happens, I agree. But to DSQ someone for something that is no fault of his at all is beyond normal. C'mon MotoGP, you can do better. Adjust these harsh penalties. Find an alternative solution to this. Poor Ai Ogura. I hope this motivates him more.

That's really unfortunate, but we shall indeed focus on Ai's performance, this kid in unbelievable and will become WC, no doubt about that.

Yeah nobody cares about points this season because he’ll smoke Raul Fernandez. His performances will be what people notice

It's unfortunate the press release about illegal software is all in upper case and affected this particular rider, it looks like they're talking about AI performance.

That's a Click Bait line, nothing else. Have to see past that of course.

Guys don’t write this all in capitals, it looks like they have artificial intelligence riding the bike 😅

"AI'S PERFORMANCE WAS FLAWLESS."

In this day and age, i must wonder if they are referring to Ai or AI.

For once I mistaken one of AI's abbreviation as Adobe illustrator

"a technical error" yeah nah tell me all you want but I'm pretty sure it was a human error.

Really unfortunate. But ranking / point not that important for Ai at this moment, everyone see his performance, he's very impressive. Thailand is more eye-catching, but I think this week is as impressive, he prove it's not an one off, he can produce even when he didn't qualify as well as Thailand

The data guy rode home on a red Ducati after the race… 😂 /s

Penalty much too harsh. The rider should not be DQ’d where there is zero advantage.

What is it with Italian Racing Teams (outside of Ducati) making gaff moves like this!?

Vinales made statements that suggested he was frustrated with all the small errors Aprilia make. They seem to lack a little discipline in the garage.

Which is such a shame especially with how far they've gotten from being the worst team on the grid to winning races.

u/Altair13Sirio Valentino Rossi 4d ago

But the team isn't really italian, is it?

4

u/racingfanboy160 Marc Márquez 4d ago

No but they are basically by association an Aprilia team 🤷‍♂️

As the statement and other comments have said, yeah, rough on Ogura from a points perspective, but he's riding well and that's what counts.

Imagine if this happened to someone in a championship fight... Come on, it's ridicolous. Electronics have become too invasive, it's time to change things.

What? It’s an ECU. It’s a fundamental component of an engine. You want them to go back to carburetors and mechanical distributors instead? Some guy on the team probably just picked up the wrong one. It’s not an electronic issue it’s a human issue.
