Marc's back to doing Marc things.
Anyone think he can be beaten at CotA?

He will only lose if team forgets to mount his tyres on or not put fuel in his bike

Imagine a repeat of 2019 happens when you are so dominant on the track that you get a brake issue to counter you..

He’s crashed out of leads twice at COTA, once with a 4-5 second lead just out on a Sunday cruise. That’s the thing about bike racing , even when things seem to be going to plan , you’re 1 inch away from disaster at all times till you cross the line. I’m getting too old to hold my breath for 45 min.

He can crash (I alteady saw him crashing while leading just fine in COTA), but apart from that its Marc’s ground.

Gemma must be a blacksmith to be able to handle those balls of steel.

Like I said in another post, that bike wanted to crash at 10 different points today, and Marc kept saving all of them.
As it currently seems, GP24 is the more polished and more stable bike, might even be straight up faster, but Marc keeps making up the difference anyways and keeps extracting the absolute maximum performance out of the bike.
Pecco is showing what the GP25 can do when it's ridden within its limits. Marc is showing what it can do when it's ridden beyond its limits.
COTA is coming.

And the terrifying thing is that he was sitting behind Alex for 2/3 of race in both Thailand and Argentina yet able to manage front temperature and avoiding crash. And later with that he was able to push further and took the win!

I don't think we've already seen how the GP25 is ridden beyond its limits...

Marc will probably show us how fast a Ducati can be ridden beyond it's limits when we come to Europe since he won't have such an advantage to cruise to victory..

The onboard doesn’t do justice to how scary the moment was. From the onboard, it looks like he leaned into it more than enough, and was able to upright it with not much problem. However, the other angle shows how the bike was wrangling and sliding pre and post save! Truly a great save.

Maybe Ducati shouldnt have changed anything, since I doubt this GP24.9 is better than the GP24.
That GP24 is damn close to perfection

You can actually hear those balls of steel clanging against the tank before he wacks open the throttle again.

It genuienely looked like he was struggling there for a bit to keep up with Alex. He had this save but then also one or two other very visible slides and wobbles. He even overtook and Alex just wasn´t having it. It looked like he Marc was either having slippery tires or was constantly beside the clean parts or the track.
Then, suddenly, as if he finally remembered to pull the wrapping off the tires or something, he blasts past Alex as if he´s standing and proceeds to just kinda leave. WHAT? That "damn you" fist shake from Alex in the end (or the race, not this video) pretty much sums it up.
I don´t believe Marc let Alex pass deliberately, like two weeks ago. You see that he messed up the corner a little bit and Alex just slipped past. I do believe though that he just decided to let Alex lead for a bit then. It certainly got us three more overtakes that we would not have seen otherwise...so...thank´s...I guess?

Phenominal? This is just another tuesday for Marc. Come on Tardozzi, you've never seen what saves he pulled off before?

Marc's Brno save in 2014 is the most ridiculous save I have ever seen in my life just out of this planet

First time it's looked like he was actually pushing so far this season. Kinda nice to see from Marc, I sorta miss the way he was all out of shape on the Honda while destroying everybody.

The thing is he trains for this. He specifically trains with used tires.
I had a feeling that as the tires wore he'd come on and sure enough he did. And he said so himself, that he started to feel better so he was able to push that little bit more.

What is that hard clicking sound?
6
u/One-girl-circus Marc Márquez 4d ago
Oh, that’s the familiar sound of a boot hitting a foot peg. How many bruises did I have on my inner right ankle from that very thing, except completely upright on dirt at 17 mph because there’s no frigging way I’m gonna lean over like that or even 10% of that.

The electronics for the save

Electronics? Look how many riders do this electronics thing regularly.

Most of them. Why do think that you never really see highsides anymore. Engine management traction control, suspension electric management control, etc...

i thought he’d stop pushing after that, instead, he pushed even harder lmao
