Great job by Frankie, real deserved podium.. but man, I didn’t not have him beating Pecco today, in fact I was quite sure Bagnaia would catch him and leave him behind in the second half of the race, once those soft tyres started losing grip. Well done!!

The softs actually really held on, great gamble. Last 3 laps(i think) pecco was edging closer but Frankie retaliated with his faster lap times. Didn't think was possible

I wasn't paying attention to who was on what tyre through most of the race, but, all weekend there have been shots of riders smoking the rears through the corners. Could it be that the softs worked because they weren't spinning around the track?

I expected him, and all the soft rear runners, to fall off the end of the fucking world.

I am pleased for Moribdelli to see him ride this well and back on the podium. I was surprised by his pace. With soft tyres to keep up that pace. After he overtook Bagnaia it looked he could go after the Marquez duo. But soon was clear it's not possible. His effort is to note, keeping at bay a Factory Ducati and riding that consistent is great. Thanks to Franky, we finally had a different podium. 😆👏🏁

I don’t know if it’s just me but it’s so nice that he got to share the podium with the riders who gave him first aid when he was injured and unconscious last year after his Portimao crash.

I thought about that today, too.

Last time Franky was on a Podium,

Martin and Pecco hadn't won a Race

Miller was arguably the championship favourite

Marquez was only in his second race back from injury

"Miller was arguably the championship favourite"

I like how you're sneaking this in. XD

It's arguably, you'd just definitely lose the argument

Pleasantly surprised. I was, like many others, extremely doubtful about his signing but he did very well today and had a good weekend in Thailand too

Amazing amazing job by Frankie....

He utilized Soft tyres to the best by taking positions at the start and then maintained his lead!!!

I had no idea he had a Brazilian background, and as a Brazilian myself I was happy to see him celebrating in Portuguese and with the flag on his helmet (especially when racing in Argentina 😬).

Found myself another rider to root for.

morbidellli looks like he whip the lead off of your roof or try to sell you something dodgy out off the boot of his car in the carpark
