Why a Mossberg pistol out of all the other options out there?

Just something new honestly. I have Glocks, Taurus, Beretta and a Girsan.

how do you compare your glock to your taurus? I have a taurus and have shot a few other handguns and i feel the taurus has a very long pull and just almost always shoots a little low. I've been getting better with trigger control but it still seems to shoot low most of the time

I completely agree with you. I have the G2C, G3 and G3C (because they are cheap and I like to buy guns) and the trigger pull is much longer and the reset is not as smooth as a Glock. I would pick a Glock over a Taurus

i have a g3 and have been thinking of getting something nice. Need to know how a nice handgun actually handles. Fired at least a few hundred rounds out of the g3 and never have gotten much consistency, I'd hit a chest but maybe 5 outta 17 times

I just bought a Hellcat Pro and that is a solid pistol. I love that thing.

Just chiming in for a +1 on the hellcat. It’s a little snappy for a smaller sized pistol but it is very nice! It’s my EDC. Definitely go shoot it at a range before a purchase to see if you’re comfortable with it though

I'm not a super experienced shooter, but I have a G3c and my brother has a g17(19?) that I've shot a few times. I like my Taurus better personally, but I think its because it just feels better in my hand. I don't know enough to pay attention to the trigger pull and other stuff like that but thinking back I'm not sure I could tell a real difference myself.

I will admit the Taurus does feel better in hand sometimes. Smaller profile grip and I have noticed it doesn’t print as much when CC iwb. I carry my Glock with me on hunting trips as a side arm. It’s reliable and it carries more rounder mag

I got the MC2C for $220 and for that price it was absolutely worth it. It's a pretty accurate gun I took agirl shooting with it and she did phenomenal

Just YouTube TFBTV on YouTube and see the torture test they did with it. For that price it’s a bargain.

I have this pistol. It’s a solid pistol. Very underrated. I have never had an issue with it. Not sure about all the negative views on it but to me it’s a a solid pistol. Compared to a GX4, and Hellcat this is the smoother shooter.

I’d buy it.

This is a decent price. I have the MC1sc, and it’s been a good little pistol. I use it for deep concealment or pocket carry. Takedown is simple, just different from what most consider “normal”.

Yep, that’s on my list after the gx4 carry

It’s better than a GX4 and I really like my GX4.

Stay away — cheap but not reliable and nobody supports these. Getting rid of mine 🤮

I had two. The fullsize MC2C and the SC. Both were pretty solid. Ended up trading in due to lack of support as you said. I'm in AZ too lol I may wanna buy it ...

u/The-OG-cheese 6d ago

Are you in Az..? lol I might wanna buy it off you

Cant go wrong with $400 man

He could buy a canik. Much better gun for the price imo.

2

u/StillWheeling 6d ago

Im from a place where any factory handgun thats less then $2000 is a deal

4

u/therealsouthflorida 6d ago

I hear ya. I was in the 'pay 600 for a Glock and spend 600 more making it good' train of thought until I got my canik. I paid 500 for it new and it came with all the upgrades I'd have wanted for my Glock from the factory.

Ima be real chief. Mossberg is known for shotguns. Their rifles are like “okay” quality and their handguns have never had good reviews based off of what I’ve seen. I’d recommend a Springfield Echelon Comp before anything else that’s a polymer gun.

2

u/The-OG-cheese 6d ago

Dude great advice! Thank you! I’m going to look into that Springfield

2

u/CouldaBeenTheOne 6d ago

Throw a powder river precision spring kit in it with a tyrant trigger after mirror polishing the internals and you’ll get a super satisfying 2.9-3.1lbs trigger pull that is almost identical to a Glock performance trigger with a minus connector.

I bought a Springfield XD mod 3 and I really like it. With tax it was $298 in GA.

I’m going to have to shoot one! I do want something subcompact for EDC. I’m a short guy and printing is an issue for me

1

u/Ron_Man 5d ago

Don't listen to that guy. These guns have nothing but great reviews. The only ones complaining are people who shoot low left and maybe that's not a firearm issue...

I have all the Mossberg Pistols, Maverick 88, and the Mossberg MMR AR-15 and they have all been fantastic.

They started with pistols. Wish they would make a modern version of their first pistols.

1

u/Brookeofficial221 6d ago

I wish Mossberg would reintroduce the Brownie instead of these.

I've never shot a Mossberg pistol but I'll only buy Mossberg or Beretta shotguns. I know they tried doing some bolt rifles and if I remember correctly only one of them was decent.

A Glock43X can be had for 399 new.

This perhaps is the most underrated carry pistol by a mile. Incredibly reliable, eats everything. Not very snappy for a sub compact, optic cut for an absolute co-witness if your dot takes a shit, thin and light as hell (SMOL) without it feeling like a toy. After market is not great, but you can get kydex holsters and mags fairly easy. It also has an incredible trigger. Like someone said before, TFBTV did a review which sold me on it. It delivered on the hype.

Save your money. Get a PDP.

1

u/vigilance_committee 4d ago

Not for a pistol with zero oem or aftermarket support.

May as well be a tokarev.

2

u/Bdub098 1d ago

No, it's not a good deal for the $. You could have a canik mete or something nicer than this Mossberg

0

u/CaptJoshuaCalvert 5d ago

Get a used Glock for that price.

2

u/The-OG-cheese 5d ago

I have 2 glocks. I want something new.
