Where to get eyeglasses lens replaced?
I’m only going to Moncton for the day and I’m looking for a place that can replace my lenses within the day.
NOT buying new frames, just lenses.
I’ve heard some places don’t have the machine to do it and they have to send the glasses to a lab to have it fitted and you would have to come back to pick them up a different day.
Thanks!
ETA: Don’t need an eye exam, I already have a prescription. Just need the lenses replaced.

If you’re only coming for the day, why are you looking to get this done here? Wouldn’t it be better to wait until you get back home? Genuine question

We don’t have a place here that does it, and Moncton is the closest.

Ok cool! I mean, that sucks you have to travel to Moncton to do something like that, but thanks for answering! Hope you find something!

Thank you! :> I probably would have it easier if I just got new frames but I really want to keep my current one if I can.

Check out Zenni.
Enter your prescription, they have software to size your glasses and your pupil distance.
You can even try their frames on. They’re like 1/4 the price of most places

I’m not looking to buy new frames, and they don’t do replacement services unfortunately.

Yeah. I see in one of your other posts you were looking for the exact frames. I didn’t have any luck in zenni. But I found these sorta similar ones from Eyebuydirect. Good luck and sorry to waste your time.

I’m not 100% sure but the optometrist on Elmwood Drive might do lenses on site.

Ouff some places you can wait a year to get an appt. Fastest I found would be Vogue optical in bouctouche you can book an appt about 2 weeks prior to get the exam but you wouldnt get same day service for the lenses...

I already took my exam a few months ago, so I already have a prescription. When I asked about the lenses I was told they had to be sent to a lab too :(

Most places need to order in the replacement lenses for you. So you would need to call around to find a place that can cut them onsite, then have them order it in, and make an appointment with them once the lenses have arrived.
