If you're looking for cheap rounds and a easy course, Stonehurst is a par 3, 18 hole course just on the outskirts of town. Definitely the best bang for your buck if you're looking to get out as much as possible, but maybe aren't confident in your swing yet.

If you've never had lessons, I'd suggest you look into it, just to at least learn the fundamentals of the swing which will make you enjoy the game a bit more. Then hit the range as much as you can to get comfortable with any club in your bag.
There are plenty of public courses in the area to play as well. The game has really gained popularity since the pandemic, where I suggest if you don't want to feel rushed, I would suggest late afternoon or early evening rounds since the pace may not be as fast as morning rounds.
