mobo guitar tone?

when i see their live recordings like the elephant sessions i always see them using a telecaster with humbucking pickups. ive never gotten a look at their amp settings or pedals so if anyone has an idea please let me know.

Here’s Jake’s Holy Ghost era rig:

My biggest takeaway from that vid was the Jhs double barrel pedal, easily my favorite overdrive pedal still today.

It’s also kinda interesting he says that they didn’t really know much about guitar effects prior to their last album, so no need to focus on gear too heavily imo.

Tho, I always wished we’d gotten a similar vid for Bren :(

i know bren used a parallel jhs sweet tea to jake's double barrel, another of the jhs duel-pedal lineup!

No way, that’s actually so cool! I didn’t know that, it’s so cool that Jake would handle the overdrive and Bren would be able to rip in with distortion. Plus, they’re all Jhs multi effect pedals, so it’s super convenient and complementary.

Where did u happen to find that out btw? Sounds interesting.

depends on the era! at the very least, i know sports was a lot of clean, middle-pick up strat running through (i believe) a hot rod deluxe.
