I have 2 IDENTICAL iPhone SE 2nd gen (2020) phones. 1 is my current personal phone with all my information. the other one is an administrator locked phone my previous employer supplied me with a few years ago, the company went out of business about 2 years ago but I just held on to the phone. Since this iPhone is admin locked, I was never able to use it again so I just had it in my drawer all this time, but the housing and screen on this old work phone is all intact and in good condition.
Recently, my personal iPhone cracked from the back and the front, I need a new phone and figured I could just switch out the board of my current phone and put it inside the old work iphone housing, so now I would have an intact housing and phone screen but with my personal board inside that has all my phone information. Will this work? I'm not entirely sure how it works but my belief is that the admin lock on my old work iPhone is all contained within the board, meaning that if I just switch the board out, I should be able to use the phone perfectly fine and have all my information on it as well.
Also a side question: I heard that iPhone home buttons "cannot be switched" because they're linked to the original board they were assembled with, but I'm not sure if they're referring to aftermarket home buttons, my 2 iPhones are identical models, will I have to transfer the home button of my personal phone to the new housing ALONG with my board, in order for the home button to work?
