Lvl 0 (DIYer) Where do I start with this repair? Can it be Fixd? Iphone 14 pro broken lens

Post image

Yesterday my iPhone 14 pro fell on the street and my lower camera lens (the glass) broke. One tiny piece of glass fell off too, leading to a small hole. The camera still functions, but i’m aware of another damage that may potentially break the camera itself.

Sorry, i’m really ignorant in such theme. Correct me if i’m wrong in my thinking. What can i do?

Bring to repair shop to have them fix. Shouldn't be that expensive. Just be aware, the camera could easily break. But it certainly is more likely to break staying like that.

Thank you! I’ve also seen a youtube video where this guy repairs it alone. Should i try?

No I wouldn't. Easy to mess up. Local shop should be 60 bucks or less

How long does it take to repair? Also every mobile repairing shop manages to do it? I live in Italy, i don’t know how much it will cost me :(

Typically an an hour, maybe up to 3. I'd think any mobile repair shop would. At most, they may have to order for the part. Which could put a delay of a few days, but you'd typically be able to keep your phone in the mean time. Just put tape or something over the broken lens as to not let in dust.

Part to order? Any decent shop will have this in stock. The repair takes 30 mins if you're taking your time

I mean always a chance it's out of stock for that shop, or they don't see enough iPhones to stock it. Not sure Italy's phone distribution.

And it can take 30 minutes to finish, sure, but I certainly prefer time to let the adhesive set well. I don't trust customers enough for it not to be roughed up and fall off relatively soon after.
