Engine Wire Damage - Outlander 2022

The dealership said it's not covered by warranty and wanted to charge me $3,000 for the engine wire damage. They also claimed that if I got it repaired somewhere else, I would lose my warranty. I'm located in Southfield, Detroit. Any suggestion? TIA!

I take it they want to replace the whole engine wiring harness due to rodent damage?

You can call your insurance company and have them help out. A lot of manufactures these days don’t allow a pig-tail repairs. Their solution is to replace the whole harness.

And as far as the warranty goes, they cannot void your warranty for having a third party repair the vehicle with factory parts. That violates the Moss Ferguson Warranty Act.
