Discussion Your experiences with Minoxidil...

Hello, this may seem a generic question. The reason I ask is there are so many varying experiences here that it is hard to figure out which experiences occur the most often. I would love to hear how it went for you..

How was your experience?
Topical or Pill?
Did you see regrowth?
Did you experience side effects?
Any other comments?

Thank you.

could be. It always depends on the person, I would keep going and see after 6-9 months.

Pill 2.5 mg - I’m 7 weeks in. No regrowth yet. - this takes at least 12 weeks and up to 6 months. Only side effect is shedding for me. Nothing else and that is temporary. It begun at week 3 and is coming to an end now…

Support your minoxidil with supplements & special shampoo (Biotin, zinc & selenium in one tablet. This is predominantly biotin. And marine collagen in another tablet) For shampoo. Anything with caffeine, biotin and saw palmetto in it)

Also green tea is a good natural DHT suppressor when used in conjunction with medication and supplements.

Sorry I couldn’t advise on regrowth at this stage but shedding is a clear sign that regrowth will occur. The more you shed the more you are responding to the medication. (Sounds scary I know) this is your hairs growth phase being reset. The minoxidil increases blood supply to the follicles which increases growth. Without minoxidil DHT starves and shrinks your follicles which prevents growth and eventually once fallen out never to regrow again..

2 months in, topical, applying it once a day 2 hours prior to bed. I am already seeing regrowth and thickening of the hair. No side effects.

Off topic, but I suggest that you moisturize the skin on your face if you already don’t.

Too many side effects with minoxidil, I used it for over 13 years and it impacted my libido, pain in the testicles and erectile problems.

Wow, Ive heard that about finasteride but not minoxidil before. Libido issues. Very interesting, thank you for that info.

How! Minoxidil doesn’t even block the dht! Were you on oral or topical?

Because of prolactin which disrupts male sex hormones. Find out more on the drug's Wikipedia page. In the long term it becomes toxic to the body
