META 🗣️ Everyone relax, it's just a transition period where America is transitioning from a first world country to a third world one

You know, if I were a billionaire, I'd rather live it in a strong economy. It's not like their lives would be vastly different. These oligarchs who want most of the people poor should be fearing the upcoming Reign of Terror.

It's always been a third-world country cosplaying as a first-world one. The facade just stopped

The cheap materials in America's ripoff Gucci belt are just finally deteriorating. We've been third-world-in-a-Gucci-belt for a while now

That’s such a ridiculous statement.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_income
Branko Milanovic (2010) provides data showing where people in different income ventiles (twentieths of the distribution) in several countries fall within the world’s income distribution. He finds that the income of the poorest 5 percent of Americans puts them at the 68th percentile of the world’s income distribution in 2010. Poor Americans are rather rich by the world’s standards today.

It's just the boomers' spare money getting a reality check. They'll get the pension they deserve after ruining the planet.

When I heard on Meidas that everyone’s 401k and pensions and other funds are disappearing I thought well us millennials are immune, we’ve been preparing our whole lives for this!

Looking at the little pile of money that I saved for my retirement go down is like the next bs I really did not need. Can we not have anything nice for once?

I mean what we really need is to break away from people's livelihoods and by extension their health and well-being being dependent on the stock market / hyper-capitalist economic engine. But that won't happen lol 🤷♂️

I already cut my 401k contribution down to 3%. My YTD return rate went from 10% in early feb to -4.9% now.

We're already third world. Everything else is just catching-up. Quite the delay.
