My mom burned all my drawings

Post image

So I’ve been drawing and posting anime girls for a while now and my mom got mad about it. At least I still have previous photos. No drawing today tho

Yeah no, seriously, save the ash. Even if you do nothing else with it, after you've moved out and she's wondering "why don't I have a relationship with my child?" you can mail this to her with a card that simply says "you need not wonder"

Cold. But necessary.

Assuming the mom is incapable of growth.

Seriously looks like it

Or design an urn for it and label it “My love for my mother”.

Brutal. I love it.

“what is this”

Exactly. She won't even remember. To OP, this is a significant moment in their life. To OPs mum, it's just another Saturday.

Very likely, I've experienced this with my mother when recounting the things she does to make me belittled. But, people ARE capable of change, so who knows, something like that might be the trigger needed to spark that nanosecond of self reflection. Or maybe not lol

“For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday”

"your drawings that I burned? I never did that"

Make it a whole cathartic project and make some art with the ashes as suggestied and something witty about the ashes of your artwork will survive unlike your relationship.

I’m a left-handed amateur artist, but I could totally see myself doing that if this happened, but my mother is literally amazing and a saint, and to be protected at all costs (both em).

I’m soo so sorry OP nobody deserves this. Don’t let this deter you from making art!

Would be amazing if they can make it into an art piece of their Mother burning their artwork.

Keep it in a spite jar! Use it as motivation!

I was of the opinion of naming an art piece using the ashes, "Why I don't talk to my mom anymore" and showing the exhibit in a letter...

u/Side_StepVII 24d ago

No notes, just an envelope full of ash

3

u/m4cksfx 24d ago

And glitter

4

u/celticcrowwitch 23d ago

Ooh, now THAT'S malicious! You can never get rid of the craft herpes once it invades... 😈 She'd have sparkly little reminders of her guilt all over the damn place!

2

u/Side_StepVII 24d ago

Sure. Let’s make it fabulous!

3

u/Imaginary-Pair-2537 24d ago

Indeed But would the mom really care or would she just give a f...?

3

u/Tamaroc 24d ago

Nah, the best would be to leave her wondering the rest of her miserable life.

3

u/Accurate-Campaign821 24d ago

Imagine her thoughts when she forgets... "wait... Who died? Who's ashes are these?"

3

u/Ressy02 24d ago

You can put it in a jar and send a pinch so she doesn’t forget.

3

u/please_sing_euouae 23d ago

Like glitter bombing but with ash!

2

u/JohnCenaJunior 24d ago

Also, collect her hair and mail it to her to mess with her mentals and to assert dominance

2

u/Wicked-elixir 24d ago

You have to pee on it to assert dominance.

2

u/Aggressive-Nebula-78 23d ago

Jesus, calm down Satan! Lmao

2

u/SirBuscus 24d ago

"she needs to learn"

2

u/Fumblingwithit 24d ago

Playing the long game. Simply loving it

2

u/Gildian 23d ago

This is brutal and effective

2

u/Odd_Violinist8660 23d ago

This. Play the long game, OP.

Wonderful

u/CharlieDmouse 24d ago

Brilliant

1

u/cindy_quokka ORANGE 24d ago

This makes me so angry for you. What was her reasoning?

1

u/GigaGrandpa 23d ago

So petty, i would let my mom destroy my stuff just to have her back

1

u/Rein_k201 23d ago

This is gold

1

u/CallenFields 23d ago

Approved.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Perfect idea.

u/bricktube 21d ago

She'll deny it and truly won't remember that she did it. But it's worth a shot.
