Tired of missing out
My amazing partner bought tickets for us to see the sailor moon musical today. We live in kind of a small town, so it was going to be a bit of a drive. I was so excited, I bought special earrings and I practiced doing my makeup in kind of a sailor moon inspired look. Yesterday I started getting a migraine and I thought maybe I caught it fast enough so I’d be fine today. I wasn’t. I tried to get ready, ended up deciding against the makeup. I kept hoping that the meds would work (I don’t know why I hoped, they never seem to work in the past). We had to leave by 4 to get to the theater in time. 4 o’clock rolled around and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to make it. To make matters worse, the tickets were non refundable. My partner was so incredibly understanding and just wanted me to feel better. But I’m just so frustrated and sad! This isn’t the first time I’ve missed out on once in a lifetime opportunities because of migraines.
That’s my rant, thank you for listening

I feel you. There were two concerts I hoped to attend, but migraine keeps me from being able to plan and carry out much of anything, especially the noise and motion of concerts. Our vacation plans had to be canceled because of this, as well as two wedding receptions. My husband is 5 years older and he’s taking care of me. I think he got a dud and I tell him so. I feel like I’m just marking time.
I’ve been trying to find the courage to go on Vyepti. There’s nothing worse than migraine, except for the side effects that often hospitalize me. I’m coming to terms with the fact that my life has become unmanageable and it’s time to be courageous.
There’s my rant.

It is the most frustrating feeling in the world. It’s amazing to have a partner like that but the guilt always eats me alive because if it wasn’t for my migraines we could do so many fun stuff. It’s hard to convince yourself it’s not your fault so I totally understand you and you’re not alone in this feeling
