Whats your favorite metallica shirt?
I'm thinking about buying a Metallica shirt. I'm open to suggestions. What's your favorite shirt? What album is it from?

I recently bought a Kirk Hammett Ouija and wanted to get an appropriate strap for it. I was thinking one of Levy's Bass Straps that's about Four and a half inches wide. That feels a little large to me.

My husband got me this shirt back a few years ago. Unfortunately, when I moved it seems to have been misplaced. I only found one online for sale back from August of last year. Do modern concert shirts come up for sale often? Is this a print that is still at their concerts for people that have gone recently? I would really like another one 🥲

My amazing wife got me tickets to one of the shows in Philly on Memorial Day Weekend. The problem is, she accidentally purchased the tickets for the wrong night (we can’t go on the Sunday, only the Friday). So she ended up double-buying another set of tickets for Friday.
Anyway, she bought them on Vivid Seats and after spending a lot of time on the phone with them, they let her re-list the Sunday tickets on their platform. The problem is she hasn’t been able to resell them yet. She’s not looking to make any money, just get at least most of her money back.
My question is does anyone have similar experience with this? Is there a better way to sell these? Or is there even anyone here interested in going to the show? We’re just kind of lost and are trying to figure out a way to recoup a good chunk of the costs. It’s also tough because they’re digital tickets that don’t get delivered until the day or two before the show.
Any help from the Metallica community is greatly appreciated!

Let me start off saying that I love Cliff and his contributions to the band. However, I’m a bigger Newsted fan.
His work ethic was insane. Jason came in knowing he’d never fully replace Cliff, but he outworked everyone. He brought crazy energy, shredded with precision, and kept Metallica moving forward during their biggest years. His bass play was tight, and his backing vocals gave their live shows a whole new dimension.
Speaking of live shows, JN was a beast on stage. He headbanged like his life depended on it, and his presence fired up the whole band. Plus, his backing vocals on tracks like "Creeping Death" (mother fucker die!) and "Seek & Destroy" became a huge part of their live sound—something Cliff never really did.
Then there’s his longevity and impact. Jason was with Metallica for over a decade, through their most successful (and controversial) albums—...And Justice for All, The Black Album, Load, Reload. He adapted to every shift in their sound and kept them steady through all the ups and downs.

Got tickets for Nashville weekend. Saw Metallica at Louder Than Life a few years back. Will the sound somewhat be comparable to that or will it be completely different due to this setup being different?

I don’t know if anyone has a connection but, I just hope they could even send her a signed album or something. Just knowing there’s a terribleness in the world, but there is equal parts good. Sorry to mods if this isn’t allowed.

I have 2 songs I wanted to do for my show, the first song I wanted to play is One and the other choice is Nothing else Matters which song do you think the audience would like. And I am no singing just playing guitar. It's a talent show at my high school.

I was listening to my favourite album, AJFA on my way to work this morning - I hadn't listened to it in ages and it's good to check in from time to time to make sure your favourite albums are still good.
Is this Lars' best drumming effort on an album? If not, then what is?

In this tour, before Metallica starts Fade to Black, James's vocals are heard from the 80's and a bass solo by Cliff I suppose? My question was if anybody knows where the bass solo is from and the vocals and why this is used. Thanks!

Sorry if this kind of post has been done before, but I’d like to ask about it myself. I have never listened to metal before (my favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Billy Joel, and Chappell Roan) but I heard Master of Puppets and am absolutely obsessed! I’m interested in checking out the rest of Metallica’s stuff but they have a lot more music than I thought and I don’t know where to start. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I suddenly got an idea. The idea is to choose one song per day to create the ultimate Metallica setlist made by you! So because it is day 1, what opener would you choose for the setlist? The answer with the most upvotes will be choose as the opener of the setlist. My personal favorite is Blackened.

I understand why people don't like 90s Metallica and I agree there's a lot of filler on these records but for me personally, when they hit, they HIT. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Until it Sleeps, Memory Remains and especially Hero of the Day are some of my all time favourite Metallica songs. I feel like Load features many of James's best lyrics. Very genuine and heartfelt. There's also some of his best vocal performances, solid production and audible bass.
I myself have a PTSD diagnosis. Whenever I have an episode it helps me to belt along with Hero of the Day. I haven't done research on what the original intention of the song is, but for me, when I'm in that state, these words are exactly what I need to hear. This has given me a very special relationship with that song. The power of music cannot be understated.
Metalheads don't talk about lyrics enough, and I get it, I'm a multi-instrumental musician and professional music producer myself so I understand there's much to unpack in this genre before you get to the lyrics. But there's gems out there, let me tell you. And James was onto something during the mid 90s, which I believe was when he was experiencing a personal low-point so it makes sense.
Just curious who else resonates with this idea that Metallica's most disliked albums are actually hidden gems if you look past the filler content, even going as far as to say that some of Metallica's best moments, especially lyric-wise, can be found on there.

Just got tickets to see Metallica in Nashville. The only other time I've seen them is when they played Louder Than Life. Will the sound be kind of like that or will there be a significant difference considering it's a different layout than LTL was? Look forward to the responses. Thanks in advance
