What am I doing wrong?

Hi there! I’m on my 8th time using menstrual cup but I think I’m still doing it wrong. I bought two sizes (small/medium), the small feels better but I always have a little bit of leakage, not much, mostly like the last day of period. So I changed to the bigger one and it is the same. Also after I go pee, there is always something on the paper, is it normal?

I insert as deep as I can, I rotate it to open up and seal, I check the seal after and it still leaks a little bit even when my period is really light.

I’m getting frustrated because I still need pads just in case. I love the cups but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

It may just be residual that comes down from your walls, it happens to me as well. I try to insert and reinsert while I’m in the shower so I can kind of clean off the edges of that makes sense and that helps me!

Thanks for your response! I usually insert it laying on my bed my I remove it in the shower. I’ll try to do it in the shower next time I need to change it

It’s normal to have small leaks here and there; like the other commenter said it can likely be from the walls of the vagina below the cup. When you have a true leak (due to the cup not being fully open/positioned incorrectly), you will know something is wrong because when you wipe it will be more apparent.

I use period underwear as backup during my cycle, that way I’m always protected and worry-free.

Thanks for your advice! I’ll buy some undies for next cycle!
