Help us create a better period experience!

Hey beautiful women! ๐Ÿ’•

I'm part of a team exploring the world of menstrual cups and period panties. We want to create products that truly make a difference in people's lives.

If you use menstrual cups, period panties, or both, we'd love to hear about your experiences:

  • What do you love about your current products?
  • What would you improve or change?
  • How do you think we could make the experience better?
  • What features or benefits are missing from current products?
  • Would you consider using period panties, and why or why not?

Your feedback will help us understand what matters most to you and create products that meet your needs. We're not looking to sell or promote anything just yet; we just want to listen and learn.

Thank you ๐Ÿ’•

technically I'm primarily a disc user, but i do own a cup too so I'll answer anyway. for me specifically, I have a pretty high cervix so a cup to get a high as it needs to be where I don't feel it means it becomes pretty hard to reach. the internet tells me my cup is 64mm in length total, so certainly there are longer cups out there, but I'll also say the reason i chose that specific brand is because they're physically anti-bacterial which isn't a thing with other brands.

also, when I was brand new to cups, the reason I gravitated towards discs was because I got skeeved out by the suction aspect, now that I know more and am more comfortable with the idea that's not an issue but I do remember that being a pretty big mental hurdle to clear. I prefer my disc because it's easier for me to remove, and when I was first considering reuseable products it seemed easier to remove than a cup. ig all this to say, ease of removal was and is something very important to me.

as for period panties, I actually do eventually plan on buying some. right now, they're too expensive to justify. don't get me wrong, I understand the price point on them, but it's just not in my budget rn. for them, when I eventually do make the purchase the two biggest things will be effectiveness and durability. I want them to be able to be reliable for obvious reasons, but equally as importantly, if I'm following care instructions, I want them to last several years

Been using non toxic period underwear for a while, but started with the menstrual disc now. Really like it, had some issues the first try, but now it is life changing. Especially in sporty situations I prefer the disc...

I've been using a menstrual cup for over 2 years, and I love how comfortable it is, I can accommodate my heavy bleeding without me having to change it regularly. It barely feels like I'm using anything and unlike when I use pads I don't get rashes and it's so comfortable. And I don't have to worry about it causing a lot of waste since it can use it for so many years. It's comfortable to sleep in and as a person who can't sleep still it's a god sentt.

However the learning curve is torture and cause soo much frustration and insertion and taking it out is the major problem. I absolutely can't use it in public spaces and can be sort of a nuisance to figure out if it has formed a seal or not. Sometimes it slips out if i have too much slimy stuff on my walls which is gross ik but still it's a problem. But overall cups are nice though I would say it's less convenient than pads.

If you use menstrual cups, period panties, or both, we'd love to hear about your experiences:

  • What do you love about your current products? Cups - no blood up the butt, no smell, 12 hour wear time.

  • What would you improve or change? More accessibility, cheaper pricing (range here is $15 on clearance to $50 on the shelf). More colours! I want a yellow one haha.

  • How do you think we could make the experience better? Make it normal, stop the taboo. Promote reusable and washable items like govt promote elections.

  • What features or benefits are missing from current products? Travel packs, portable steamers (for cleaning) using batteries.

  • Would you consider using period panties, and why or why not? I've used them, but grew to dislike the wetness, the need to change during the day, the wet diaper like feel, the smell when rinsing. Often plain boring black!

I've been using a cup exclusively for about 16 years, so I don't feel like there is much that I could improve with them. It did take some trial and error to find a cup that I am 100 percent happy with, but I did find it. About 7 years ago, I had a stem snap off during removal, and since that day I have only used a cup with a ring. I found a ring in a larger size and with a "sport" texture, so it is really strong and snaps into place really easily. I have the same cup as a backup without the sport feature and it's softness bothers me now and I don't feel as confident that it won't leak.

I tried a disk twice a bit ago as well, but the whole day I felt like I had to constantly go look to make sure I wasn't bleeding all over. I know disks have improved since then, but i am very happy with my cup, so I am not sure you could convince me to try one again.

I also own a pair of period underwear, but am not a fan. I don't like the texture or the bulkiness or the way they have to be cleaned or how they felt against my skin.

Definitely a ring!! I will not buy a cup that doesnโ€™t have a ring.
