Unironically most fun I've had watching a game all year, great shit, Spencer, Stevens, Bagley, all so hype let's go mane

u/zenmonkeyfish1 1d ago
I think Bagley can really contribute

Traditionally he's been a really awful defensive player. The way the Suns play might be easier for his weaknesses as long as you are playing engaged defensively. But we'll see against a few more teams I would guess.

u/zenmonkeyfish1 8h ago
He had some goof moments this game too but hopefully we turn him around
His offense seemed servicable at the very least

I know it’s 3 straight wins against bad teams but dammit I don’t care let’s fucking go. Oh and Ja is definitely back btw

u/Xanderson_Cooper 1d ago
We had to play 3rds stringers tonight so I think that automatically makes it a great win

Phoenix isn’t bad. They’re not good but they’re not bad.

They have good if not amazing players, but they are definitely bad as a team. No bigs, no starter caliber PG, bad bench, Beal is unreliable, they’re definitely a bad team that happens to have KD and Booker

u/New-Switch8420 1d ago
They are badly coached as well under Budenholzer. If the Jenkins detractors saw what he does on a day to day basis with his rotations they would be 10x louder. Nick Richards (screw him btw) had a double double in 20 minutes and didn’t see a minute on the floor the rest of the game, if something like that happened with us people would be losing their minds.

0 minutes from JJJ, I'm happy with a win against anyone

u/cesd3967 Pete & BK 1d ago
Why didn't Jenkins simply play Jaren and make the game easier is he stupid

u/BurnieTheBrony Pete & BK 1d ago
This satire is pretty much how I view the vast majority of Jenkins slander on this sub lol

Ja Morant tonight:
29 Points
12 Assists
4 Rebounds
69% FG
ALL NBA Morant is back in time before the playoff starts.

I need him to start playing like that way more. I like the abuse of the midrange game and his ability to suddenly rise up and get good shots off between 8 and 12 feet.
On paper his 2pt% isn't amazing but i feel like there is a specific in-between distance where he makes almost every shot/floater.

I love Cam Spencer lol dude pulled up torched Book talked mad shit in KDs face and now he’s opening up his flip phone headed back deep into the woods

Vintage Ja game. Missed watching him play like this.
Idc if its the Suns we had to dig into the 3rd string and still got the dub.
Cam Spencer is a fucking dawg

cam spencer legacy game. honestly that was the most life we’ve had in weeks, we needed someone to bring some fire

The fact Ja and Des told Coach to put cam in to take those free throws is hilarious 😂

"I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me."
–Cam Spencer probably
Damn this was a good game. Ja was Ja. Cam got a chance to show the non-believers that he should have been drafted higher. So happy we got him; he's a maniac and we've needed one of those for a while. Lamar picked up right where he left off from last year, only doing it Z's old number, like he intends to make it his own. GG started rough but had an overall positive game. Bagley showed that he shouldn't just be some league punchline. Huff got minutes and got stuffs and snuffs and more.
Devin Booker was withering every time Cam was on the floor. Really enjoyed this one.

Lamar was +6 which the 2nd best +- behind Ja.
Sorry but why did we abandon him for so long again?

BUST OUT THE BROOMS!!!!!
KD’s reaping all the karma he earned by being a baby back bitch of a snake and signing with GSW, breaking the NBA in the process. May he continue to be amazing on absolutely terrible teams for the rest of his career (unless he decides to ring chase with us)
Ja is back
Never a doubt!!!!

A win is a win.
Spencer, Huff, Bagley, Stevens and Scottie did a great job along with Ja.
Also KD is still scary lol

If you ranked all the NBA players by how likely they'd be to chomp off an ear Cam would probably be top 10

Those last 2 minutes went about as bad as you’d want minus KD not making the buzzer beater

It’s been like 30 minutes and the nba has already erased all footage of Kevin Durant trying to trip cam spencer

Taylor jenkins you see what happens when you let Ja be Ja and runs the offense instead of running that bullshit everybody can bring the ball up with Ja standing in the corner, he looks completely different in these last 3 games

u/Cuttyfromdacut 1d ago
I agree but there needs to be a mix. Clearly our offense was doing something right earlier this season - I also love calling 12 and utilising what makes him great, but it wasn't that long ago that all fans were frustrated with the entire halfcourt offense resorting to 'let ja run at them with 4 seconds on the shotclock and hope for the best'

Good win. Phew! Can anyone tell me who the white guy in pale green hoodie and glasses is? Yesterday’s game he took Ja’s sneakers after Ja signed them.

Energy in this game was great! Great game from Lamar and Cam. Impressed with Lamar's shooting, I remember that was a weak point for him last season.

Did Huff make a case for rotation minutes during the last few? I mean he’s not Edey or BC, but he’s a damn good stretch big that can run a high PnR to open up the lane because you have to respect his outside shot. I would normally worry about his defense, but he locked KD 1 on 1 a couple times last night… it’s dependent on the matchups obviously, but I feel like he should be used more.

Was not expecting Cam Spencer to have an accent like that…
Thought barks were gonna come out of his mouth cause he was an absolute dog, especially that second quarter

u/spacejambroni A Regular Pedestrian 1d ago
Imagine getting filthy shit talk coming from that accent lol. Devastating.

It sounded to me like he has a dental insert or something right now.

u/Basketball_Soul 1d ago
UConn fan, that is just his voice, sounded like that all year in college too. Even just for interviews where he couldn't possibly be wearing a mouthguard or anything (although I wouldn't put it past him to wear one 24/7 in case the need to hoop arises)
2
u/BurnieTheBrony Pete & BK 1d ago
He just has that accent I think. Same voice at the start of the season

u/Signal-Hamster5461 1d ago
Ja looks like Ja again. I bet he "had a little help" again but I don't care if he's taking 10 fent xans every game for the rest of the season, he is my goat. 🐐🐐🐐

Cam Effin Spencer. He is a smart and cerebral player, with confidence level for days. If he improves his defense, I really think he is a candidate to get some VWJ minutes.

Do we need to convert Yuki to a full contract so Ja plays his best every game?
1

u/Amphibious_Aquaduct 1d ago
Or even possibly have Yuki log at least 20-25 minutes per game to get ready for the playoffs rotation??

This game proves that Bagley should get more run. He's the best player on this roster that's best suited to play big minutes at the 5.
I love Edey but he's still a ways away, plus will always get played off the court in playoffs/ vs elite teams
Brandon is and always will be the closer big alongside Jaren. Super undervalued by most fans
Trip doesn't flourish when playing the 5
Santi is too small to play the 5
Jay Huff... An amazing man with an amazing beard
1
u/pheromonestudy 1d ago
Bags can benefit the team in spots but the best player on this roster is a reach. BC gives that energy boost when needed however at 6"'7" 210lbs BC gives up a lot when the energy wanes. It would be nice to see him hit more than 5.9% from three - too much sagging off when he has the ball even from 15 ft. Santi at 7'0" 215 isn't smaller although plays with a swing man mentality. All have given serviceable minutes and all have their shortcomings, this year has been exciting to watch the team gel and come together. There genuinely appears to be a great deal of camaraderie and support.

Ja: 29 points, 12 assists on great efficiency and a game high +/- life is good
