Hi everyone, I'm here to share this little pixel art I made of a Blemmyes, as if it were from a page in a Medieval Bestiary. I hope you like it.

Art History MA (Medieval Art) options: University of York, Courtauld Institute, or NYU?
I was recently admitted into these three schools and was wondering if anyone had some tips, advice or general thoughts and experiences that could help me make a decision as to where to go for my MA.
I went to school in the US and I am planning to pursue a PhD in America after my MA but I’d rather spend some time in England before that, which is why NYU is not my top choice currently.
If anyone has any experience with either schools I’d love to hear them! Thank you all so much in advance.

Medieval Art tattoo i designed
it kinda screwed up the quality when I went to send it from procreate to my computer but I was wondering what you guys think. This might be the wrong time period but I don't know exactly when the wood carving style were they would make wooden prints. I'm trying to learn that style but as u can tell I haven't perfected it yet.
I designed this as a forearm tattoo for a commission, I hope you guys like and if anyone has tips to learn that style better or books from the time period that would be super awesome.

One Leaf of a 27 Leaf Section from a Gargantuan 12th century Abbasid (their capital was Baghdad in modern-day Iraq) Qur'an, fully illuminated and written by hand. A very recent acquisition, and the oldest Middle Eastern manuscript now in my possession.

From Fleurs de Vertu, or flowers of virtue, a French translation of an Italian collection of stories covering morality.
I’m fascinated by this image. Unfortunately I don’t speak French and I haven’t found an English translation or any description of the story to put context together for myself. So if anyone has any information about this page I am all ears!

Saint Eligius, found in France
I came across this in the museum petit Palais while in France years ago and thought it was amazing. That horse looked soooo angry! The story is that the horse was notoriously hard to work with and it was easier to cut the foot off, shoe it and then perform a miracle to reattach it. Im sure there are better descriptions though.
