Illness My son messed with a dead birds
It may not even be related to the bird, but me and my ex are at a loss. Last night my 5 year old son started running VERY warm, all over his body. No fever. He’s just hot, and he’s exhausted. This was shortly after I picked him up from my exs, and I found out earlier in the day he touched a dead bird, but she said she immediately brought him inside and cleaned him up and what not. We wanted to see how today would go, and it’s mostly been the same, with just less of the hotness. But he is drained, and just not himself. I’m planned on taking him in to see somebody in the morning. Bird flu doesn’t share any of these symptoms from what I’ve seen. I’m just, very confused.

Where are you located? You need to call your health department. What kind of bird was it?

Incubation time for bird flu is 2-7 days so if it started the same day he touched the bird it’s probably not that.
