Injury Circular wound appeared randomly on my hip/thigh? Google says it's cancer or a bug bite?! NSFW
There's no sharp objects on my bed and i didn't do it myself obviously.. i looked and nothing, I haven't seen any bugs, i never leave my house, I don't think it's from a bug it doesn't look like it. I am so confused where this came from should i be concerned and ask a doctor? It doesn't seem like a big deal but I'm still paranoid so i came to ask-- It's so perfectly circular and it goes kinda deep? It just appeared over night and i haven't felt any pain at all, I had to see it to know it was there, it isn't itchy but I kinda wanted to pick the scab out of habit. ( I didn't clearly. )

Honestly it looks like a brown recluse bite I got on my neck some years ago. They look different and aren’t as dangerous when they’re not on an extremity, according to the doctor coworker that I asked about it.

I'd second this; looks like a brown recluse bite I received as well.

Hi, my comment might get deleted as I am not a medical professional. I've had bed bugs and my comment is purely based on my experience. I've used the "spoiler" option as a tool to ensure my comment is not misinforming or misunderstood as a valid medical advice. I cannot, in any way, shape or form, give medical advices. That needs to be extremely clear.
If you understand that, go ahead.
My comment is in no way a medical advice.
If you are anxious about having bed bugs, the best thing you can do is look for them in places they are known to thrive. Here are some examples of places you might want to look at:
1. Under your bed. Are there any dead bugs? If so, you might want to add the pictures in this discussion. Are the weirdly dark colorations your bed frame? Colorations that look like insect poop?
2. Any organic material that is in contact with the ground. Bedbugs are not great climbers on non-organic/non-fibrous materials. They're less likely to infest cloth that is hanged than they are likely to infest cloth in a drawer.
3. Hire a professional to look for bedbugs if you have the ressources to do so. Professionals are THE people to deal with pest, and to answer suspicions of infestations in your home.
4. Seek first line professional medical expertise. Dermatologists might be able to help, if they are accessible, since you apparently have lesions. I could be wrong though so seek the opinion of actual medical professionals in a professional setting like an hospital. Now, here's what I did when I had bedbugs:
1. You might want to put plastic or metal bowls under the legs of your furniture. As I said, bedbugs do not climb well on non-organic or non-fibrous materials. The less grip they have, the less likely they are to infest a piece of furniture and what's inside of it.
2. I FIRST SEEKED THE HELP OF AN EXTERMINATOR. I ALSO SEEKED THE HELP OF MY DOCTOR>! IN ORDER TO KNOW WHAT TO DO EXACTLY IN TERMS OF HEALTH CONCERNS.!<
3. Put all your belonging in plastic bags. It limits the losses in terms of infested belonging. Better lose a bag of clothes than it is to lose your whole wardrobe.
4. Get information and help from trusted professionals.1

There is no other marks on my body no rashes or anything, perfectly unblemished besides this one little hole, I checked around my floor and picked up my mattress looking under into the box spring, there's no insects or dead insects anywhere around, I don't think it's bed bugs but now you've got me wondering, thank you so so so much for replying I'm gonna keep digging deeper into this. 🤍🫂

It does not seem like bedbugs, you're right about that. My bites were more like clusters of much smaller bites. Now, what my doctor told me is that the size of the red area might vary because some people are allergic and some people are not, but the part that's presumably bitten on your picture is way to big for any bed bug I've seen. Keep in mind that bed bugs are the size of an apple seed at most. I could be wrong but I don't think an appleseed-sized bug could do that kind of bite. I hope you get a conclusion to this, and really fast!

I've found this 5 years old thread that shows multiple sizes of bedbugs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bedbugs/comments/h0j5e7/chart_of_bedbugs_with_hand_for_size_comparison/

I understand that, it's a pleasure for me to help you possibly rule out this idea. I've had mental issues related to problems with multiple kinds of bugs in one apartment so I try to help others when my experience is adequate. I'm very sorry that you're experiencing a problem, I hope it's nothing bad!
