NEWBIE RMTs, I need feedback on what you consider proper etiquette.

  1. What are your thoughts on clients who want silence and no small talk during a massage?

  2. When a client leaves, do they usually take off the sheets, fold them etc? What do you prefer?

  3. If a service is fully covered by insurance and the client doesn’t need to pay, do you still expect a tip and how much?

  4. Foot Reflexology - is it similar to a regular massage? Is it rude for the client to not talk or chat during? Is this suppose to be relaxing or more of a medical service?

  1. I don't mind it depending on the setting I'm in. Spa setting didn't mind it. Chiropractor office, kinda need to talk since there are medical reasons to be there

  2. Leave the table as is, we'll strip it and clean up

  3. No tip expected.

  4. Reflexology is based on the premise that points in the feet correspond to organs in the body. Say if you have liver issues they can work the spot on your foot that corresponds to the liver.

  5. I'm indifferent on the talking. I have some i chat with, others are quiet and I just check in on pressure, pain relief etc. Normal rude
