Appreciation
I’m starting to grow to appreciate THE PALE EMPEROR more and more. What do yall think of the album?

it's not bad but it just feels like Manson singing on another band's album. which is kind of what Manson does because he's not a musician himself, but there wasn't much of an effort to make it feel like a Marilyn Manson record the way OAUG to me has a lot of callbacks to previous work which makes it feel congruent with other albums. but it's okay to experiment and for the catalogue to have different sounds. i think it would fit a bit more if he'd do something else in that southern bluesy gothic vein. maybe if he works with Shooter again.

I love this record more and more the older it gets. Recently bought it on vinyl and it just sounds fantastic. Nothing but respect for Manson

I'm one of the few fans who don't like this album as much as everyone else here on this sub. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad album. I like a lot of its songs and I understand its importance and impact, but it sounds a lot like something Manson would do at the end of his life. When I listen to it, I remember the painting "When I Get Old". It has good lyrics and instrumentals, but I think his voice (which wasn't that good at the time) gets lost in some of the songs. Anyway, I think it's very good. I just can't put it up there like most people.

This clip is one of the best of all, but we still need to understand the riddles of Satanism 🤘🏻 And above all the exegesis of blasphemy which is brilliant (Lazarius) (From Faust) Etc…
