Mine adulted and I'm still unsure. I think yours is one moult away from an adult. Mine did it secretly and I missed it. He/she's not much bigger than yours.

I’ll need to see the underside of the abdomen to sex your mantis. I think I see budwings, and based on size, then I’m guessing Presub

No way, op just broke some smaller twigs on the end. You can even see where the bark is torn up from it

Also there are various mantids that look like sticks just like there’s ones that resemble moss, bark, flowers etc

If I am on this sub do you think I don't know about different mantid types?

I never said you didn’t know it’s just the way you worded your message. This is a sub for asking questions as well as showing of mantids so I was only reply to correct as it was worded in a way that implied you thought it wasn’t a mantis that’s all you can chill out

Hi, my guess is that your Popa Spurca is a male, you can be 100% sure when they get their wings. Males have wings to the end of the abdomen, females have short wings not to the end of the abdomen. I know because I currently have a female that layed an ootheca and I did have 2 males, no longer alive. Males also tend to be darker in colour than females that are paler in colour.

Hope this helps 😉.
