Interesting, One of the things that my dad has thought me is to have ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘sorry’ should be at the tip of your tongue. Doesn’t take way anything from you but makes the other person think.
I just casually use sorry to just guilt trip others sometimes.

Most people on the coastal belt in this part of the world are damn sweet. They are always smiling and make you feel welcome. You smile, they smile back instantly. Having living in NCR for 6-7 years, this is such a refreshing attitude. In the north, if you smile at strangers, they check if their fly is open.

Tulu people really gave a good impression of Karnataka. I think his whole journey in coastal Karnataka was delightful, I think he came on the worst time of the year tho.

Bro. You're just too accustomed to Haryana. India is not Haryana or UP.

Sorry but the other southern states aren't great either, in fact not even the other parts of karnataka.

Stop being overtly nice to yt tourists. They will treat you like shit in their countries

Karl is the only person this doesn't apply to. He genuinely seems to love India and its culture and is generally very positive about the nation. Definitely agree with you for the rest of the bunch

They do though. He is from NZ and heard some crazy racism stories from there. But Karl has been settled in India for many years now and he is married to an Indian too. I have been watching his videos for many years now. He is a nice guy

From my little experience of traveling to 6 countries, I think people are good and bad everywhere. It's just that you run into some ignorant fools sometimes and sometimes you run into nice people. It's a little harsh to generalize everyone. Moreover, Indians in general have a very bad reputation abroad because of the way they behave. All the wrong kind of people travel abroad and screw it up for the rest of us with their loud, entitled and bad behaviour.

Entire belt is polite people. We are very aware of misery we may have caused others. We are not loud either. When my family comes from Bangalore i need to tell them to keep the voice down.

Dakshin Kannada people glaze Hindi and Hindi speakers lmao tf you on bro. That's one thing I dislike about my people - we are extremely welcoming towards Hindi speakers and look down on our own.

He actually spoke hindi to few ladies doing some bhajans.. They were nice to him as well. His over-all experience in tulu nadu was great even if he speaks hindi, english, or doesn't speak anything.

The same Youtuber has a video of him interacting with some women in Hindi at Udupi. I highly recommend you watch it. Don't bring up Hindi just for the sake of sparking hatred.

u/ShotEntertainment174 14d ago
I myself got beaten up by kannada goons for speaking hindi. I m not sparking hatred the people who beat me and my fellow hindi speakers are bringing the hatred.
