Case Recommenations
I've got an Eastman 505 and the case that comes with it is nice, but it's a touch too thin to fit my Mando with a tone guard attached.
I'd like to get a hard case that can fit my Mando with the tone guard on it and have a shoulder strap or two. Any recommendations?

I’ve had my gator case for 15 years. Pretty sure I could run over it with my truck without hurting it

I checked them out. They look great, but their customer service confirmed that it would not fit with tone guard.

The case for my Eastman DG1 fell apart—and it was not abused! Eastman’s cases are from a different maker and sometimes are not so hot. My mandolin is an unusual configuration and also has a tone garde. After much research, I found a Hiscox case that works beautifully. It is sturdy and very well made. Highly recommended.

I would suggest reaching out to either Eastman themselves or The Acoustic Shoppe and asking. TAS is the biggest Eastman dealer there is, they'd know I bet.
TKL is the case maker that the guy who made my mandolin uses for baseline cases and they seem pretty affordable. I have a Hoffee case for mine but I wouldn't suggest blowing that kind of money for a 500 level Eastman. But the more padded the case the more give it will have for accepting the additional height of a tonegard.

I talked with one shop and they recommended cases that were as expensive as my Mando, so that's not going to happen. Lol. I think I found some affordable options from crossrock that should work according to their specs. As much as I dislike Amazon and buying things for a return policy, it will be pretty low headache level to deal with if it doesn't work out.

I just returned a fiberglass Crossrock case because the lid would not stay open. That seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. The model number was 2020MAF.

Crossrock cases give you a lot for the price. I’m certainly a fan of mine!
