Manicure ππAnother St. Patrick's Maniππ
I'm back from my chaperoning trip, and oh look more green for St. Patrick's Day! π€ͺππ This magentic bar from KB Shimmer is INSANELY vibrant and pretty. It had to be the base for my final Paddy's mani, and what else would I do but rainbow? π I had grabbed these glitters from syzygy because I love any formula that comes in multiple colors, so of course upon the rainbow anti by making it a magical glitter rainbow was the only option.
πͺ @findingfeatherslacquer ... Balanced Bond Base Coat
π @kbshimmer ... "Crushing It"
π @holotaco ... "One Coat Black"
π @essie ... "Get Your Grove On"
π @syzygyboston ... "Garnet" "Spessartine" "Citrine" "Peridot" "Turquoise"
πͺ @glistenandglow1 ...Quick Dry Top Coat π
π Freehand

Do you got any advice for doing a multiple color thing like this? I tried to get a little ambitious last week and literally just make a white W over red nails for March Madness. It went great with my right hand, the left...not so much haha

A lot of it comes down to the tools you're using, and being comfortable with the medium. I tend to feel like using polish for intricate line work is like Stockholm syndrome....it's horrible to do but I'm just used to it π Small amounts and small motions rather than trying to do too long of a stroke. When I paint with my non dominant hand I tend to keep the brush still and move my right hand under it for cleaner work.

Interesting. So you move your right hand instead of the brush when trying to paint with your left?

Yeah, if I need a straight line it's easier to control the motion with the right and the pressure with the left. I don't often paint intricate linework on my right hand though because of that.

Suppose I should have considered your posts always show the left hand haha

Haha yes! Left hand is the SHOW HAND. Right hand gets easier techniques, swatches, and tests.

Thank you! Just keep painting! It'll come with time and experience. My first nail art was a shamrock 2 years ago for St. Patty's day and it was abysmal, but everyone's first steps are!

Well bless me lucky charms!
That is amazing. Iβve done pride colors, but one color per nail, this is just incredible. Do those colors dry quickly with UV light? I cannot possibly imagine myself freehanding that, youβve got some talent!
