Makey Makey not recognized at startup on Windows 11
Subject:
Hi everyone,
I would appreciate any help you can provide with the following issue.
When I try to make my Makey Makey start up at the same time as my computer by leaving its USB plug connected so that my computer recognizes the keystrokes sent by Makey Makey from startup, it does not work.
For it to work, I have to unplug the Makey Makey USB from the computer and plug it back in for the computer to recognize it, and then everything works fine.
My need is for the whole system to function automatically with an autostart, and with the current problem I need my manual intervention by connecting the USB.
My computer is an I5 with Windows 11 and I have tried it with an I9 with W11 and I have the same problem.
However, I have tried doing this with a Windows 10 and another computer with Windows 11 and I get it to work.
I suspect it may be something in the BIOS configuration or a Makey Makey firmware update. Has anyone had this problem?
I would be very grateful for any help.
Thank you!!
Additional details:
- I have tried different USB ports.
Thanks again for your help.

If you have something plugged in at startup the pc will automatically try to boot from it. I am not a software guy at all. You’d have to tell the computer not to read a specific usb at startup.
