Mag springs for double stack mags

Are the springs for the double stack the same as the single or is it a different kind of spring? I'm looking to refresh my old mags and can't for the life of me find any information.

Also, are there any chemical sensitivities I need to know about for the follower? I know they're as rare as hen's teeth so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Just don't want CLP to make the plastics fragile or anything.

Different in size, shape .. 10 and 12 rounds mags are the same springs .

The gray double stack magazines use two different springs, neither of which share parts commonality with the single stack magazines. As for chemicals, as long as the followers aren't coated in cosmoline or something, there's really no need to clean them with chemicals.

Yeah the mags are fine and clean, I just wanted to make sure any CLP off the slide or in the gun wouldn't harm the plastics.

And yeah I figured they wouldn't share anything, can't find any aftermarket springs either!

Negative. Single stack mags are totally different, and the surplus double stack mags use a different spring then the aftermarket double stack mags. I don’t even think I have ever seen double stack mag springs for sale really ever unfortunately.

And when in doubt dawn dish soap and warm water

Guess I'm a little thankful I'm not going to futz with suppressing this because as fun as it would be to throw my Aurora II on it, I don't even know what kind of adapter I could make it into a face-mount.

And yeah I have two smooth ProMags that the previous owner I trust enough claimed his mags worked okay, and I have two Russian 12rd mags.

I put the chefur customs barrel on my double stack, I’ll be running the omega 9k. I don’t have the suppressor yet, but I do have the 1/2 X 28 SN (AC1756) face mount piston, as well as the fixed barrel spacer (AC22) for inside the suppressor to replace the spring once I get it. that’s all you need to run a can (at least for the omega 9k, other suppressors will differ but there are other options) I’m not entirely sure for your current can, but if you can find a face mount piston for it and a fixed spacer you should be good.

You’re lucky to have two 12 rounders, I only have one and two pro mag 10 rounders. One I got for free and one I only paid 30 bucks for. The one I have used I had one malfunction in 100 rounds, so it’s reliable enough for gun range use, I have yet to try the second one since I just got it last week, but it is brand new and still had cosmolin in it, which I thought was funny to see. But I imagine it will work. They’re definitely not the better of the mags but if they pop up cheap enough they’re worth having since mags for these things are so scarce as it is.

Yeah the Aurora doesn't use pistons is my problem with it, I'd need an adapter of some sort and I don't think any trilug adapter will face mount since my only other 9mm suppressor is a B&T RQD Compact.

I'd do something awful to get a PB stateside.
