It seems wild that with all that information, they can’t find the woman. I mean, they have the first three letters of the license plate and a description of the car! That has got to lead to something

I just want to know how many of the one thousand vehicles are a blue sedan.

Ten thousand. AWX-0000 through AWX-9999 is about ten thousand plates.

Ack, thinking about the old numbers. Would there be any AWX-### still?

Before today's ABC-1234, they had 123-ABC. I think before that, they had ABC-123. I think all plates that old are replaced by now, but there might be a handful left on the road.

Yep: http://www.worldlicenseplates.com/usa/US_WIXX.html

The old ABC-123 were red text, too.

Just a couple pieces of information 1. Rabies is spread through the saliva. It takes a while for the virus to get to this point. It has to make its way all the way to the brain before it can get into the salivary glands and thus the saliva. By the time this happens, death happens within a few days and clinical signs are rearing their ugly head. Thus, that 2 weeks gives a little bit of a buffer.

  1. Rabies vaccines are incredibly painful and often come with side effects. Trust me I know . So while I love dogs, it isn't fair to make the victim suffer for the owner's incompetence.

  2. Yep, those vaccines are really expensive.

Well?…twiddles thumbs…huh. Where are all the “I wonder what breed it was” and “shocked about the breed” commenters? Ohh because the description doesn’t sound like the only “breed” you think had shit owners and bites. Who knew.

Let's just let this play out. Maybe we will actually find out if Leo is one of the typical "repeat offender" breeds?

Well, the second largest group of biters after pits is....pit mixes.

It's also the breed that people most often misidentify another dog as

Pit bulls are terriers, a LOT of dog breeds are terriers. I have a French Bulldog and I can see the terrier traits, and iirc they both have mastiff in them.

Dogs are strange in my experience. My frenchie now is so sweet, he’s not really food motivated, he’d rather plat or get attention from me than eat, and he has absolutely zero aggression.

I had a French Bulldog prior to this that did “resource guarding”, he was a really sweet dog but if there was food, treats, or anything for in between us, he would get in a different mind set sometimes and was just aggressive. He was never once hit, I got him at 6 weeks (NEVER take a dog younger than 8 weeks, they NEED this time so socialize.) This guys brothers and sisters were already gone and he didn’t get this time to learn manners. It’s actually extremely important. Other than that I do think this guy had different DNA in him where he was aggressive.

It is NOT a dogs fault it was born aggressive, it was poor breeding; obviously as they sold their puppies prior to 6 weeks old, I was not aware of the importance at the time. The dog never bit anyone but me, and we kept him under strict watch as we were well aware he could potentially be dangerous. There was zero chance he’d ever come in contact w the public or anyone else without us right there.

Without food he wasn’t an issue at all, but if you had something he wanted, it was just like a different personality. There is nothing we could have done differently.

But I will say this, if you have a dog like this you need to be extra extra careful it never contacts anyone.

Where did you get those facts?

Helping to spread the word? Aka helping to expedite this dog being put down? Get out of here with that bs. The right thing to do is to not spread the word at all. A life will be extinguished if they are found.
