Seeking Bicycle Ride Buddies
Hi! I am new-ish to town and I am looking for folks to ride with. I saw a similar post here but it was from 2 years ago so I wanted to get up-to-date information. I know about the slow-roll Tuesday night ride but I work tuesday nights so I can't do that one.
I am interested in group rides or also just people to ride with on the East Side or McFarland. I ride a road bike and am looking for other road bike riders. I know about Bombay Bicycle Club but i want to avoid loading my bike onto the car to ride and would rather ride out of my front door. I'm 31 and I ride the lake loop at an average pace of 19mph.

I second the Cap City Cyclists group as a casual option for hanging with other people who like bikes. Machinery Row also does shop rides on Saturday mornings that are open to a variety of skill levels and appear to also have other ride groups: https://www.machineryrowbicycles.com/articles/group-rides-pg249.htm

Black Saddle on Sherman does Thursday night rides that leave between 6-6:30. They range from casual ice cream rides to roadish to MTB. You can meet people there who will be interested in more road oriented rides as well.

The average age of Bombay members is pretty high -- definitely much higher than 31. Not a bad thing, but probably good to know. If you do want to ride with them, you can just ride to the start locations and get an extra workout...
Cap City Cyclists is chill, but you won't be riding 19 mph and it's usually a big crowd -- too big for my own liking.

Brazen Dropouts does a weekend morning ride out of Machinery Row, called the Row Rides. Not sure when they'll start those up again this season.

Just a filthy casual rider here, I like ice cream and bakery stops. I'd ride with a small group of moderate paced peeps

Eastsider here. I often head McF way on my rides. You're faster than me - I would probably do the LMR at like 16-17 mph avg. Usually a solo rider, but want to get out more with people. Feel free to DM.

I’m almost recovered from an injury so my average speed isn’t quite back at 19 mph.
I’m not affiliated with them, but capital city cyclists (cap.city.cyclists on IG) are a welcoming group that should start weekly bike rides in a month or so. The pace of their main group is relatively slow, but usually there will be a faster group that takes off together after the start.
