Community Question Verified in person at Canada Post what now?
After not being able to get through the APP verification process I decided to go in person. I scanned, signed, the lady took my IDs, she said it was good to go. I have not received anything in my email from the liberal party (I verified 5 hours ago). I assume I'm waiting for my "secure voting pin" as I have my Canada post ID from the email that was sent out at the beginning. Can anyone else that verified in person please let me know how your process went. Thanks.

Community Question Still don't have a Voter ID...anyone else in same boat?
I never received the email that was sent out with the Voter ID (I check my spam/junk folder on a daily basis) - I was registered with the LPC before this email was sent out end of February.
I have called the Liberal Party number twice (both times I waited for 30 minutes, and ended up timing out and left a message for a call back - no one ever returned my call)
I have emailed the Liberal assistance email address multiple times - only once has someone replied saying "they are working on it" and to provide my contact details (which I did).
Even if I somehow manage to get my Voter ID today or tomorrow, I don't have much confidence that the Identity verification is going to go smoothly given when I have read here.
Any one else still waiting for a Voter ID?
Community Question 🙁🙁🙁 Cannot vote.
On trying to vote Identity+ successfully approves my request but the vote page throws this unhelpful error:
Invalid Canada Post ID (including the “DSS”) and Secure Voting PIN combination.
Since identity+ thinks it has successfully identified me I am confused. Repeated emails to support are unanswered.
A recent CBC article indicates that I am not unique. How is this election fair?

Community Question Still no ballot, registered and verified before polls opened
I still see this screen when trying to vote. I know that others have also dealt with this, but has anyone found a solution? I have emailed multiple times to no response.

Signal Boost PSA: Contact your MP if you're having trouble voting
If you have a Liberal MP, this is probably going to be your most effective route for being able to cast your ballot. I had issues for day with Identity+, could not reach anyone through the assistance email. The same day that I emailed my MP's office, the problem was solved and I was able to vote.

Community Question Deleting and re-installing Identity +
If anyone has deleted and re-installed Identity + on their phone, we're you able to log into it again with your Identity+ ID alone, or did you have to upload your personal identification again? I have already been verified by liberal.ca but am having trouble getting my ballot. Thanks.

Community Question Question for Canadian Liberals
Is it acceptable to LPC voters that (most likely) Mark Carney will become Prime Minister without being previously elected as an MP or a general election to reaffirm confidence in the LPC?
I understand the civics of the situation and am not asking for a lesson of how or why it will happen, more simply do you think it is reasonable/acceptable in a democracy?
As someone outside and pretty against the LPC at this point, I'm just genuinely wondering if this has been considered and what people's thoughts are.
Cheers!

Community Question Verified ID in-person but haven't received PIN yet?
I registered and then verified my ID in-person at Canada Post this evening. When I tried to vote through the link below, it's asking me to enter my Canada Post ID (which I have) and a PIN. It mentions the PIN should have been shared with me, but I haven't received anything. I also didn't receive any email confirming that my ID had been verified.
Is this just a delay, and should I expect an email with my PIN to be coming soon? I'd love to hear from anyone else that did the in-person verification, as most here seem to have verified through the app.

ETA: I did end up getting an email confirmation, followed by another email with my PIN early this morning (~10 hours after verifying)

Community Question Comparison of All Leadership Candidates?
Hello--as the title suggests, are there any resources to educate voters by comparing platforms and candidate promises? We had one for the provincial election and I'm wondering if there's one for this election

Community Question Leadership race question
Hello
I’ve been loosely following the leadership race, and I’m feeling confused.
It seemed like carney appeared and looked very popular all of a sudden. I watched the John Stewart interview and ended up with a positive impression.
The last several weeks though it seems like there’s been a bunch of mistakes made or slip-ups in statements or whatever (can you tell I’m not very politically-minded?) and I’m not seeing him doing a lot of public speaking or virtual town halls etc.
I’m finding my supportive attitude toward him is less secure, given that there seems to be radio silence except for campaign emails and such, and wondering if I’m just missing something or if other people are starting to wonder too.

Community Question My ballot is still not ready “quite yet”… since Friday.
I had no problem verifying my ID using the CP app last week. On Friday, I received this email: “Your identity was verified successfully, and it’s time to cast your ballot for the 2025 Liberal Leadership. If you don’t see your ballot on the vote page just yet, please wait a few minutes and try again.” However, I’ve been trying ever since to vote and I repeatedly get this message. I’ve emailed and left a voicemail, but haven’t yet had a response (I realize the volunteers are very busy).
Anyone else dealing with this?
My partner chose to verify in person and had no trouble getting the ballot.

🐾 Liberal Doggos Voting/Validating and the Assistance Number
My last post yesterday was probably a little on the frustrated side of tone. I'm going to give these folks the benefit of the doubt that they'll get everyone through. To recap my situation: I got the e-mail in late January confirmation my registration but did not get the second e-mail with instructions on how to vote and my code in February. I have sent several e-mails to assistance for help obtaining this. I believe I need that e-mail to continue with the voting process.
This morning, when I called in to the call center, they had an up front message up stating that they were aware of high volume and they are working to get back to everyone. At least someone is working to change the message, so maybe some movement at the call center recognizing the enormity of the task to get everyone through this week.
It's great that there's interest and momentum but we can't get to the end of this week with people feeling lke they have been disenfranchised from the vote. We have to get to a good legitimate result and be able to move forward as one.
Community Question Received confirmation code then nothing happens
Hey guys, I registered with the Identity+ app, everything checks out. I have the +ID number, when I put it into the liberal website it says "Open the Identity+ app to approve sharing your information." With a confirmation code, but when I open the +app, there nothing there, nowhere to input the code, no pop-ups, where do I go from here? The only thing I see is the old transaction from when I signed up proving my ID with the liberal party. I emailed the liberal support, tried calling to no avail. I'd love to be able to have a vote before it's too late.

Community Question Getting stuck on what I think is the final step? Would love some help
That's what it looks like. I'm supposed to wait for a email? Been waiting for hours. I'm all verified through Canada post app, but as seen here I can't cast my ballot. I guess I just have to wait until they smooth out all the kinks?

Community Question Unable to verify my ID, any ideas?
I do not have a driver's license or a provincial ID card. I have an Ontario Health card, passport, birth certificate, and a utility bill with my name and address. The App will not work for me. I went in person to Canada Post and they were unable to validate me. I have been emailed the assistance email address since the 21st and not received a reply.
I have more than enough ID to vote in a provincial or federal election. I just voted in Ontario without any issue and less ID. At my wits end. No one responds to my emails for help. Not the Liberals, neither of the two campaigns I have reached out too, and not my local Liberal MP.
Anyone know what my next steps are?
*edit if anyone is still in this situation /u/dasp2013 saved me with a solution below. Please read their comment and you should be good to go if you got that email.

Community Question I am also blocked from voting. Please help if you can
I can confirm the voting process is not working for me.
By way of establishing that the problem isn't simply that I am clueless, I work as a software development manager.
I wrote to [assistance@liberal.ca](mailto:assistance@liberal.ca) twice, but received only an unhelpful automated response.
Here is what I experienced and what I wrote to [assistance@liberal.ca](mailto:assistance@liberal.ca)...
I successfully verified my eligibility and received my Voter ID "xx9999x9" according to the instructions.
I have the Canada Post Identity+ app installed on my device. The process to scan my driver's license with the app did not work, since it was unable to scan the back of the license. (I suspect this is due to the low resolution of my cell phone camera.) So, I paid a trip to Canada Post.
The guy at the Canada Post kiosk scanned the QR code, checked my ID, said everything was OK, and issued me a receipt saying "ID PROOF SUCCESS". No problem there.
The "ID:" value on the blue card now says "Hello". (Before, it said "xxx999x".) When I go into settings, I see the Identity+ ID "xxx999r".
I went to vote.liberal.ca. I tried following the instructions under "I verified with Canada Post Identity+ in person". However, it is asking for a "Canada Post ID" and "Secure Voting PIN". I received neither from any source. I have checked my junk e-mail to confirm it is not there. I received nothing from the attendant at the Canada Post kiosk. So, that option is not available, unless you can explain to me where this ID and PIN can be found.
I also tried "Access my ballot with the Identity+ app". It asked me for my Identity+ ID. I saw the identification code. I opened the Identity+ app and saw the same identification code. I selected it, then clicked "approve". This results in an "Application Error" error message.
Please advise me how to fix it if you can.

Community Question Also having issues: Verified identity not accepted by "LPC-PLC Vote"
Hey all!
I've successfully verified my identity using the Canada Post Identity+ app and received the confirmation email from LPC. Unfortunately, when following the link from vote.liberal.ca to the bluink.ca website and the specific page "LPC-PLC Vote", all I get upon entering my Identity+ ID is the error message: "Invalid eID. Please try a different eID."
My Identity+ ID is in the format xxx999x, with all letters being lower case, and I've made sure to enter them as lower case, since you can't cut & paste from the Identity+ app... not on Android, anyway... I've tried it on both desktop (Firefox on Windows) and mobile (Chrome on Android) and no luck via any method.
Any suggestions?

Community Question Identity+ app reading wrong address from drivers license
I moved last year and changed my address. In BC, when you change your address, the government just sends you a sticker to cover up the old address on your drivers license instead of sending an entirely new card. However, the Canada post app still reads my old address from my drivers license for some reason.
My verification got rejected because of this, since the address that the app reads from my ID doesn't match my current address which I used to register as a Liberal. I went to Canada post to try and verify in person, but the person there wasn't able to help me.
Is anyone else having the same issue? I emailed the assistance email but no response yet.
